Still the best. Originally from Scotland have always loved oatcakes, Orkney oatcakes are the best, and I have tried many different brands. Love this little tin they come with, keeps them really fresh. The ones in the tin are the thin version, but you can also get the thick version, the tin holds two packs of the thin version and one and a bit of the thick ones. Great as a snack and fabulous with soup and cheese.

I tried these on a whim, having never had them before. I wanted a snack cracker/cookie item that was healthier, not loaded with salt or sugar or bad fat. I think these are just that. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I think they are an acquired taste item, and I found them a bit bland. Texture-wise, they are a little crumbly, rather than crunchy, but I think they are designed to be that way. I will likely not buy them again, not because they are not good, wholesome and well made, but because I was looking for something with a more robust flavor. Glad I tried them.

These oat cakes are my new favorite thing! I’ve tried both the thick and thin varieties. I slightly prefer the thick, just because they have a bit more chew to them. Both taste equally delicious. (For reference, the thick variety cakes are approximately 3/16 inch thick and the thin are just under 1/8 inch.) They’re great with a piece of cheese, spread with jam or honey, or eaten plain. If you are the type who likes things like rustic multigrain bread, Triscuits, Grapenuts, etc., you’ll probably love these as I do. My only complaint is regarding shipping. They were shipped with NO packing materials (see photo), so they slid all over the box during transit. They didn’t break apart in the box due to how the cakes are packaged in shrink-wrap, but the corners of the cakes were crumbled a bit. I thought perhaps it was just an oversight with the first box I received, but my second box was the same - a pack of cakes in a box with no air pillows or packing paper.

UPDATED review for puchase made on 9/6/2020 (Amazon doesn't update the purchase date for each new order) - SEE PHOTOS: My father opened his gift and was sooooo excited to receive his favorite biscuits from Scotland. Than quickly disappointing to see they were EXPIRED! SHAME ON YOU FOR ADDING A NEW EXPIRATION STICKER ON THE BOX EXTENDING FOR 6 ADDITIONAL MONTHS TO UNLOAD OLD PRODUCT ON ME!! These are difficult to get in the US but my fathers favorite. It is his 82nd birthday so decided to surprise him with a box. At almost $48 this is a splurge! THEY EXPIRE IN 57 DAYS??!!! See photo above. Pretty sure they ACTUALLY EXPIRED in May 2020, but someone put a new sticker on top and extended their life by 6 months. Boo to this company :(

They aren’t sweet at all and rather thinner than I expected either more wheat taste than oat. I was looking for oat cakes I won’t order them again

These are thin, plain but traditional, authentic Scottish oatcakes. They make an outstanding platform for both sweet and savory toppings. They have an oat-y nuttiness that comes through and makes them really satisfying. They arrived on time and in perfect condition. I will buy again! Those who love oatcakes, here is your chance to get them in the US.
