The motor does heat up as most will, and it reached 128 degrees F as measured on infrared after 30 minutes and then stayed there for 2.5 hours of continuous turning of a 14 oz (weight) walnut cup while applying a resin finish (room temp was 75 degrees F). The motor was not mounted in an enclosed space. I did not use the provided wiring connectors and went with soldered connections and heat shrink tubing. No glitches during the turning process. Overall happy with the motor for my DIY cup turner and the price I paid for it was reasonable.

I’ve been using this for at least 4 months now and this motor is pretty cool. It’s durable and easy to use. It spins in both directions you just need to flip the switch a few times or stop it in the direction it’s going and it will automatically reverse direction.

I used this motor along with a GT2 timing pully and 6mm belt to build a Halloween prop. It worked perfectly. This little motor moved four pumpkins every night for 6 hours. I noted on a few test runs that It runs a little hot, so be sure to give some space around the mount. I am completely happy with this purchase.

Motor has been in use almost a week runs for a few hours at a time spinning lures on a dowel for clear coat. It’s absolutely quiet enough for my needs and seams to do its job perfectly. I would like to see it run a bit cooler and I ditched the quick connector for heat shrink crimp ons. Motor can reverse by cycling power I’ve noticed which ever way it has resistance it will spin the opposite though it naturally wants to spin in one direction with no load, this direction is opposite the direction I would like it to be as this will unscrew the thread adapter. Over all I’m happy with it and if it lasts me a few months I might replace it with the same one in the future.

Worked for my use. Rebuilding a vintage animated clock. As others said it does get hot but I think they all do. I just won’t leave it on for extended times.

Bought this for a Halloween prop. It worked perfectly the first two runs, but now that we are putting it out for Halloween it does not work. It does not make a full time around and the prop needs to manually pushed to get it moving just an inch.

These work great for automatic egg turner in incubator with a timer.
