Wisconsin Aged Cheddar Cheese Box (3, 8 oz blocks)

I was really skeptical at first as a cheese lover. Seemed high priced but I wanted something special for Christmas so I bought it. Then while shopping I ended up buying Cracker Barrell Aged Reserve and good ole hunter seriously sharp cheese. Well due to Covid I neglected to remeber nobody was coming over and my family of 4 had alot of cheese. I ended up slicing the 3yr and 10 yr with the store bought other stuff. No comparison. The 3 year was nice still had a sightly flexible texture. Nice flavor paired great with pepperoni and the kielbasa. The 10 yr was more crumbly than i suspected i cut it thicker then in half. Worked better. The flavor crystals inside were delightful. The sharp nip was pleasant. That cheese i cut up was gone and had plenty of store bought left. This was some good cheese. I cut the 5yr up and the prescense of flavor was apparent and the crystals inside started to show themselves. Still had a decent texture and this one went good with some meats an wine with wifey one night. I finally cut open the 15 year and it was crumbly but I was prepared. The crystals inside were happy and bursting with flavor forget Cabot this is the seriously sharp one. This one i cherished and used miserly. It was the best and all of them were the best until i tried the next one. I will buy this again. Is it worth it? Ive spent far more and gotten far less.

Very good cheese, I will be buying again! I would like to see it offered in different sizes and be able to purchase all the same age.

When my doctor recommended I go on the FODMAP diet, I was pleased to see I could have aged cheddar cheese, I just didn't know how aged it had to be. The labels on your products did not help and no one answered my question I posted. Turns out, the label just has to reflect "Sugar...0 grams". For cheddar cheese, that takes about a minute amount of time. Since I love cheddar cheese and Wisconsin is like the cheese capital of the world and your reviews were so good, I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. The bricks are the perfect size to fit on my dicer/slicer. So, I can just cut them in half and put a half a brick on the dicer at a time and make my own cubes for my salads or toss some thinner ones on a baked potato. Since I like the varied flavors and textures, I mixed them all together in one container and put them in the fridge, so I just grab what I need when I need. They arrived packaged very well and still cold. I opened them immediately and placed them in the fridge. The only thing I would recommend is saying something about the sugar content being zero or adding some type of label saying FODMAP approved since so many people with IBS are having to switch to this diet to figure out what foods are causing their painful symptoms. The product is amazing!!

Cheese is very good so far but package arrived at neighbors door. The shipping peanuts (see attached) were actually melted and the packing ice was completely melted. I guess if the cheese is 19 years old it can survive peanut melting heat.

Long time Wisconsin resident, Only recently beginning to appreciate different types of cheese. This is a great way to taste test the effects of aging. Ordered a batch for home, sent a couple to friends, family, in other parts of country. Excellent move, able to share, compare. My dear old white-haired Mother, 95 yrs old, hard to find new tricks for her, she was impressed. Other commenters seemed to think pricing a bit high, might be, but, I made myself, several friends, family Members happy, sitting in pajamas @ 2AM on computer, feels good. Pleased with purchase.

Wow that's good cheese haven't tried the three year yet but the 5 and 10 year is very,very good, all I need now is a good bottle of wine, worth the price two thumbs up from me :-) will definitely buy it again.
