Koolatron 13L Iceless Portable Cooler

Brilliant for the car, plugs right into the boot. We also took it on holiday and bought a plug adapter so we could have it in out room.

Can anyone recommend a 240v converter for this product, I have bought two now an it's the same problem, the motor on the cool bag dosent go fast enough to operate the cool box. Both say they are 240v to 12v converters.

This arrived yesterday and I did a "dry run" with it. First off, I had no clue, for some odd reason, that it was also a heated device. So, imagine my surprise during the first test when the inside was getting hot, lol. I then read further and found that if one flips it to the blue side, it cools, the red side is for heat. I got an adapter since I will not be using it in a vehicle. At any rate, we did as instructed and gave it a test empty. It was cold within about ten to fifteen minutes. There are plenty of pockets and I was afraid they wouldn't get cold but they did. For the price and with Amazon Prime, I just couldn't pass this one up. It has much more room than the hard sided one that I also looked at. Now, I'm going to really use this soon when I camp and I might do an additional review at that time. As far as I can tell, I think this was an excellent purchase and would recommend it highly. OK, I've now officially tested this product during an exceptionally hot and humid weekend of camping and it worked great. What I did, since I knew that it was going to be super hot with very high humidity, was follow the instructions, or recommendation, of another reviewer. I put a hard ice pack in the bottom and also, a Gator Ade bottle, with frozen water, in the unit. I just used this for Gator Ade as it is just too hot to eat, lol, and it worked fine. I made sure to keep it in the shade at all times. When I got home, the bottle filled with ice, still was pretty frozen. It wasn't totally frozen, of course, but, it did still have a huge chunk of ice within. I think this is going to work just fine. Plus, it wasn't loud at all. I literally had to put my hand by the fan to make sure it was running. I give this a huge thumbs up and would recommend to others. Come fall, I probably won't do the ice pack method but, with the humidity we have been having, it would have been silly not to use the ice too. My Gator Ade was actually too cold. I also left said drink out and it got warm, of course. I then put it back in the cooler and it was super cold within about an hour or a bit more. I hope this helps others. Oh, I almost forgot to mention something. Since my van is a 1997 and the cig lighter hasn't worked in years, I bought that adapter deal that turns it into an electric device. That worked fine. Just be careful as the power pack deal gets pretty hot. I literally hung mine over a box fan that I took along and, obviously, it kept it cool.

We have used this little cooler for two seasons already and are pretty happy with its performance. Obviously it’s not a fridge and it only runs off a car, so one could not expect it to allow for a several-day storage. But, if you are going for a day or two to camp and need something that would keep your milk or muffins cool for two nights without getting spoiled, this cooler would rise to the occasion. Even unplugged, it would keep things on a cooler side during those first two nights. Pretty good in my opinion! It also has lots of pockets on the side and is easy to clean, which adds to the package. Overall, quite a nice camping companion!

Very handy but not as quick to cool things as a big bulky car fridge. The handy thing is you can keep your lunch in it plug it in take it out... defo worth it

Returned it. Sewing and cooler seemed well made. It did cool down the cooler when I tested it with a jug of water but the fan component was so loud and irregular sounding I believe it had issues waiting to fail. If that’s the noise level of a properly running unit it would still be much louder than my 26qt hard sided Coleman electric cooler.

Not happy as I'm missing the cord that plugs up to the wall and box was open when I got it
