Cost effective

Once I logged into the software and updated the validation codes I attempted to print. When you set up accounts it asks if you want verification, there's no way to turn it off. To do the verification it costs $99 a year. In addition you have to pay for credits that count as printed checks, you get some free with thigs you purchase but once you're out you have to purchase credits to print checks. This is about $20 for every 100 checks or something ridiculous. I decided to purchase separate software and still use the printer since that's the main thing I wanted. After several hours of getting the printer set up via Wifi (out of warranty since it's from the purchase date the versachecks purchased the printer so I couldn't get any help from HP) I finally got it to print a check... that was completely cut off all around the edges because it has ridiculously large margins... OH! it gets better, in addition it also doesn't have an easy interface for preferences, you have to connect via the IP, this doesn't work if you did wifi direct connection and it doesn't work if you did USB connection and I can't get it to work even with normal wifi set up (an additional several hours to get that connection to finally work). This is all around useless to me and a waste of money.

Ordered this because I needed a new home printer and wanted to start printing my checks as well. The printer setup was quick and the included software is easy to use and has a lot of check customization options - like adding photos and images into the check background. Good print quality, the MICR ink is a nice dense black, not faded like I’ve seen on some other checks. Prints full color and is wifi-enabled so I can print from my phone, another reason I went with this printer.

Love the compact size of this printer. Bought to print checks for small business. Easy to setup and has very good print quality. Came with check printing software . Works great !!!

Fast arrival. Small speak design.

The cartridge wouldn’t work and when I opened to check, I realized the cartridge had its points of contact ceiled and there’s nothing I can do but to buy another one. But in general the printer is good.

so far... absolute garbage of a printer. and this is a surprise from HP. i have one of their M553 printers and it's flawless. this little DeskJet 3755 should be called the DeskShet... as in the past tense of... (im sure you can figure it out). lets see now if i can get support over the phone to fix whatever the heck is going on that wont allow the print to come out correctly. since day one it's been printing in half tones. at first i thought it was the file i was printing, so i tried other files i for sure knew printed well. and it did the same thing. over and over. i tried everything. new drivers, plugging and unplugging. removing and reinstalling. i even watched youtube videos. which was funny because a lot of video told the same story. that this printer is the worse. one video even showed a for-sure way to fix it... by smashing it with a sledge hammer. i'm right about there with this thing. the hammer is on standby.

Probably one of the worst printers I’ve ever owned. Difficult to connect, didn’t come with the wire from printer to pc. And does not do continuous printing cause paper keeps getting jammed. I do not recommend this to anyone

Was not able to use out of the box. Black magnetic ink cartridge was defective. At nearly $60 dollars for one new cartridge, it added more to the cost of the unit. Once the cartridge was replaced and software installed, it produced viable, impressive cheques. (verified by my bank scanner). I will be testing the printer for writing several hundred more cheques. Beyond this, if the printer stands up to printing several thousand cheques I think it's well worth the purchase.

I used it once then it stopped recognizing the micr ink cartridge, bought a new cartridge, contacted HP and versacheck no one was able to help me. And it came with an expired warranty. Waste of $350

They came missing installation software and it doesn’t tell you that you can’t register if you’re in Canada without calling support on verseacheck also it came with empty ink cartridges buyers beware 1000%
