VSGO 16mm APS-C Sensor Cleaning Kit with 10ml Camera Sensor Cleaner

Cleaned the sensor of my aging Canon DSLR, perfect sizing. Haven't cleaned it in years and small spot and halo like artifacts were starting to show in some of my vacation photos. Took 4 swabs to fully clean the sensor, test shooting after each cleaning instance till my test image was clean. 2 drops each time and wait a bit to saturate the swab and the sensor is flawless again. Highly recommended piece of kit.

I’m a beginner and using a hand me down Canon Rebel Ti and had a smudge on my sensor lens. I was super scared to try cleaning it on my own but tried it anyways with this kit and it cleared the smudge off so easily. I had to use two swabs but it was super beginner friendly and easy to use. I removed the smudge within a minute!

I have a Nikon D500 and ancient D90 with some annoying dust spots I couldn’t remove with just a rocket blaster. This kit did the trick. Sensors are perfectly clean after following the instructions and a couple of swabs. But do note these are advertised for both Canon and Nikon APS-C sensors. Nikon’s APS-C sensor is ever-so-slightly larger than Canon’s APS-C sensor, so these swabs are ever-so-slightly *undersized* for Nikon DX. This means that one pass may not touch the very top or bottom sliver of a DX sensor. There is some “wiggle room” as you sweep across, so use care. I don’t believe this is a big deal, as my DX results are perfect. Buy YMMV and FYI.

I bought it for use on astronomy cameras and it works very well on the cameras. But you can use the swabs and solution on eyepieces, reducers, flatteners, filters etc. Although the swabs are best as single use swabs, you can with care get a second or third use use. Telescope lense coatings are durable, molecularly bound to the glass as are the coatings on filters. The swabs are very handy to have on hand for these non-camera items. I have found that the optical window that protects the camera sensor is generally not a hard glass, though they are replaceable, I would try to avoid reusing a swab on the window and certainly avoid resuse on the sensor should you have to clean it. The swabs are effective. They work better than tissue paper, camera cleaning pads and your T shirt.

Had some stubborn smudges/grime on my Canon Rebel T7 sensor. The swabs with the fluid applied cleaned it right up after just a few passes. Use a light touch. The ends can be easily angled for the hard-to-reach pockets around the sensor. I recommend this product. Screen clarity: Sensor was crystal clear after just a few passes. Fluid leaves no residue. Quality: Professional style packaging, each swab is individually sealed in a pouch.

I had a filthy sensor and have tried another brand in the past. It worked but it took several tries and mostly just moved dust around. These though, I applied a single drop of the fluid onto the swab, opened up my camera, flipped up the mirror, wiped three times. Closed the mirror, put the lens on, took a sample pic of a white screen on my computer. ALL THE SPOTS WERE GONE! That was it. I wonder if the poor reviews are only cleaning the mirror (I did that too to clean up some spots in my viewfinder).

It served it's intended purpose flawlessly. I had a smudge spot on my apsc mirrorless' sensor I tried evey service center and shop but they weren't willing to do the work, so I took matters in my own hand and ordered this kit. I was hesitant at first but I had a leap of faith in myself and did it anyway, it took me two swabs but my sensor got cleaned spotless. So the product is very good for it's intended purpose, but it's a bit pricey in my opinion. But it was atleast packaged like a premium product. If you have stubborn dirt or smudges too on the sensor and they aren't nudging with your rocket blower, absolutely consider going for this.

When your sensor gets dirty little out of focus blobs show up, usually only really noticable in the sky (see pic 1) The first approach is to try to blow them off with a puffer. If that doesn't work use a soft brush. If that doesn't work then you need a cleaning product like this. Warning: if the dust is abrasive, e.g. fine sand, there is a risk of scratching the sensor. always try the other, less extreme measures first. My sensor had got quite bad and the fine dust was not being cleaned by the brush so I used several drops of the cleaner on the swab. This elininated the dust but left streaks after it had all dried, so I went over it again using just one drop on one side of a fresh swab, with a final wipe with the dry side. This restored the sensor to an almost perfect condition. (pic 2). It's worth testing the sensor immediately by taking a picture of clear blue sky to see if the cleam missed anything. I'm very pleased with this kit, it works well.

The quality starts with the packaging, the overall product plastic box is in a sealed plastic bag to keep dust out and the package itself being plastic does not shed dust etc onto the items you will use to clean your equipment. The liquid dropper has both a seal to push into the dropper hole to prevent leakage and evaporation and a screw on cap. Now that's smart! Cleaned my Fuijifilm X-H2 APS-C sensor with two drops of fluid on the swab. It removed a haze line across the width of the sensor from a factory service as well as a saliva mark... that was my doing... oops. Two passes of the swab back and forth and the sensor was shiny clean, not a spec of dust from the swab, and the cleaning fluid evaporates almost immediately leaving no residue. First pass removed the haze line and second pass my saliva spot. So thrilled to have my sensor back to factory clean! Bought the same kit for full frame sensor cleaning. Highly recommend this brand for quality of product and it does the job flawlessly!
