Will this work without a signal booster? can i plug it directly into my pepwave lte router?

It can work without a signal booster, but it isn't an antenna with a very high dBi gain, so it is made to be used with some of our vehicle signal boosters.

I have a drive sleek, will this antenna get a better signal than the included magnet antenna?

If you have the option to mount this antenna, then it will work a little better than the magnetic antenna.

Will this work with the drive x ?

Yes, this will work with the Drive X. It has an adapter inside to connect to the Drive X and a different adapter for the Drive Reach. So yes, this will connect to, and work with the Drive X.

will this also pick up far away wifi from lets say a campground?

This is a cell phone booster, not wifi booster. If you have a low signal from a cell tower, it will indeed help. In my case one bar went to between two and three. I would stream Netflix. Directv. HBO. Amazon Prime. However, it you have no signal, there is nothing to "boost" and you are out of luck.
