I wanted these to use in my allotment for various jobs (marking out rows, attaching kickboards, anchoring raised beds, that sort of thing). The size is clearly stated and accurate but in my head I thought they would be bigger, my fault. Even so they are extremely useful and will be buying more. They are sturdy and easy to drive in to the soil. I needed to get them in quickly and will be buying more but next time I think I will treat them before use just to make sure they last.

Took a good beating
Used as concrete shuttering steaks for me, I dipped them in black tar as was going to be left in situ, took one hell of a hammering and didn't split open. Really good stakes

I was impressed by the efficiency and quality. The wood is smooth; I was expecting rough sawn wood. I may paint them but I haven't decided yet. I intend to use them to raise flowerpots higher than the level of my ground cover plants. WDBA
