Does the job and it a great value!
My husband has fixed several tool handles with these little wedges and I love having my favorite tools back in use, especially our ax, because I no longer have to fear it is going to drop onto me while wielding it against a stubborn root or other woody target.

Old heads are better.
I still use wood as a primary heat source in our home. Because I have been doing this for quite some time I have noticed that older axe/hatchet heads are definitely of a higher quality steel, so it's worth the bother to keep them in service. So keeping a good handle can be a thing. Putting a few nails or screws in the head will kind of fix it but a new handle with fresh wedges and secured with the rings and a fresh coat of tongue oil you have a great tool to work with. Hope this helps.
