LOTS of color (and good customer service)
When this product arrived I was pretty disappointed. It burned extremely hot and lasted for about 3 hours before it shorted out. To top it off, I removed it, the bulb broke off from the screw...and I cut my thumb badly trying to get it out. I was not happy, and I let the company know it. I wasn't expecting satisfaction; I just wanted to vent. There are, however, defective product stories that have happy endings. This was one of them. I received an almost immediate reply to my e-mail complaint, and along with the apology came a free replacement bulb which arrived in a few days. It works perfectly, and that brings me to the second part of the story. The bulb itself, unlike most colored bulbs, does not emit a weak, watery little light but instead a deep, lush, ruby-red glow. Though it is only 25 watts, it does miraculous things to white painted walls and I imagine would accent a lot of different paint-jobs. Switching one of these on in a very dark room, or at night, creates an amazingly atmospheric effect. If you're having "one of those days" you could do worse than to douse all the other lights in your place, put on some Doors or Mazzy Star, and enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverage. I guarantee you will find yourself in a different mood. All in all you can't beat this. Cheap price, rapid delivery, good customer service, and a powerful, beautiful color. Definitely recommended.

Turns entire room into a dark deep red colour.
I turn this on in my room as I start my bed time routine and it helps me get in a nice relaxed state before bed. It's not as bright as I would like it but the fact that it makes my entire room a dark deep red makes up for it. Also previous "red" bulbs I have purchased from other vendors just make your room into an orange colour. This one though is a nice deep red, perfect for bed time routine.
