The dimensions are shown on the Amazon site. They are about 3" tall ("7.8 cm") and about 1/2 " wide. They work great.

Are these strong enough to wrap thin twine around them? They won't have to go on a jacket, just a vest.

If wrapping the twine in order to pin it to a vest I would say yes. But the magnets themselves are not strong enough to hold through much of anything. They’re very weak.
