Well made, pretty BUT the cover is very, very heavy!!! Not liking that it is so heavy and wish it would fit the bottom better but I will adjust to it. Might be a issue for elderly or someone like me who has had rotator cuff repaired as the weight is not easy to use for us....

I couldn't believe that I found this! I broke the one we had years ago and thanked my lucky stars for being able to find it and replace it in our home. Perfect fit, thank you!

This was a birthday present for my wife this year, and I'd have to say this is very much a handsome cake dome, and well built. The base is nice and wide, so it won't fall over easy, the design is a nice classic one that should go with about any decor. The dome itself is nice and tall, so you can fit *most* cakes in it no problem unless you have something out of the ordinary. I don't think I have too much else to say other than - take a look at the pictures I uploaded of what it looks like when it arrives at your door. Looks good to me!

Wonderful cake dish. Our first one lasted over 20 years. Unfortunately, the base met the floor one day and I was happy to find the cake dish on Amazon.

The dome is surprisingly heavy. The plate appears to be made of separate material, it has a tint of blue. The base, a third piece, is glued to the plate. The dome fits over the plate but does not fit into groves. There is a bit of wiggle room for the dome to move around. I have no idea if the size is sufficient for a 9" double layer cake. The manufacturer suggests overturning the base and the plate so the overturned dome can be used as a bowl with its bulb handle inside the overturned base. Now the plate is the base. With the weight of dome full of liquid bearing on its center. It does not look sturdy. It is a simple lovely platter with a dome and I am glad that I bought it.

like most people I have limited counter space and I have to be selective in what I buy. my husband commented "aren't those just wedding presents? nobody really uses them." well mine is a work horse and it is so beautiful to look at (form and function is my motto). I had cookies and sweets tucked here and there and they would go stale because people forgot about them. now they are on display and moist. i'm harkening back to my mom's kitchen 'cuz I also bought a bread box and my counters are orderly and pretty. a big plus for me is that I am clumsy and the lid is strong and can take bumping.

The set is beautiful but the plate says 12” although the cover only covers about 8” internally. The box was a bit beat up and excessively taped like it had been sent back a few times. There was a small defect in the cover but I needed it over the holidays and so used it and didn’t have the heart to pack up yet another time and send back so I kept it. The plate is reversible and the stand can be a serving dish when upside down so that part is nice.

Excellent !! Heavy and good quality, with thick glass, not the flimsy stuff you live in fear of breaking. Great upside down as punch or trifle bowl too. Got this for a best friends housewarming present, but so impressed am going to get myself one aswell.

A beautiful addition to our kitchen island . Great quality , beautiful and fits a luncheon plate. Especially great when filled with cookies or cake!

Good sturdy product

I loved this cake stand. I bought it for my friend who also loved it. Plus its doubly versatile as it can be turned upside down to be used as a punch or trifle bowl, genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
