Much better than the plastic version
I used Waterdrop's plastic water filter for the past few years, which was quite good but has a couple little issues that got annoying enough that I figured I'd try an upgrade. 1) The water in the plastic filter comes out in a "spray" both via the filter and from the tap, which might be good for some but I found very annoying (especially for filling bottles). 2) Hard water and plastic aren't a great combination - microabrasions in the plastic results in mold as water and minerals catch in there, so it needs to be cleaned regularly. The stainless steel version feels much more premium - the switch between filtered and unfiltered water is oddly satisfying to use and puts less pressure on the sink, and water comes out in a normal stream rather than the odd spray the plastic version has. It's also much easier to keep clean (not to mention looks nicer on your counter). Both versions are equally easy to install. The only room for improvement I can see is that the unfiltered aerator isn't a separate piece, so if you want to remove it to clean (it's good to give them an occasional white vinegar soak in a hard water household), you've got to remove the entire assembly. That's a pretty mild complaint though in a really nicely-made little filter. The one edge I'd give the plastic one is that the filter container, which clicks open with a short twist from the top, is a bit more convenient than the stainless steel version's unscrewable bottom, but the difference in the stainless steel version seems better for durability in the long run. If you're debating between the plastic and the stainless steel version and think you're going to use it for years, I'd suggest just spending the few extra bucks and getting the stainless steel one, since it's just nicer to use, easier to maintain, and I think worth the extra cost, though if you're just trying out water filters, the plastic one is still a nice cheap one to start with, and you'll be getting good-tasting water either way.

Light enough ,but sturdy ,great pressure on both sides
This was very easy to install . Do not over tighten ,the gaskets do a fine job with no leaks. Great water flow on both the faucet side and the filter side. So far so good . Changed the taste of the water a little for the better, but I was wanting the purification more than a different taste. Great value. The stainless one is not to heavy at all ,very stable, and nice looking with my chrome faucet.

Love it!
I had the plastic one from same brand and it worked great for years. Saved us a lot of $ and reduced plastic. Tastes good or tastes like nothing which is how water should be! I like the stainless steal version and hope it holds up as well as the other model did. It is real stainless steel of good quality and looks great. I like the stream better than the spray. I have animals also and our city water is horrible, especially for the fish bc they are extremely sensitive. I use water conditioner for that but I have water testing kits that pick up on pollutants and it’s the same filter inside as previously used so I think for me this filter will do the job. Everyone’s water quality and installation experience will be different but for me Waterdrops instructions and products were easy for me to understand and I have had zero issues with leaking or poor tasting water. I recommend this if you are someone who isn’t very handy bc you can figure it out fairly easily and quickly install with no tools!

MOSTLY Stainless Steel (Why...)
Admittedly this may be a bit early for a review. I just installed this a few hours ago. Install was simple and straightforward, took under a minute once I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled. I recommend you do the same, as I found metal shavings inside the unit once I took it apart. I'm sure the filter would have taken care of this, but I feel better having cleaned it first. I picked this filter out of the many on the market because it is all stainless steel. Most other options are plastic. Yes, this unit is indeed all SS construction. HOWEVER, half of the included adapters are plastic. Just my luck, this includes the one I need. I do not trust plastic threading on plumbing adapters one bit. I'm not sure why they decided to make half the adapters SS and half plastic.. I do like the filter, but now I have to go around trying to find a non-plastic adapter, SS or brass. Frustrating drawback to an otherwise good product. Other than this, functionality seems good. Have used it numerous times. Switching between tap and filtered water is easy and feels like a quality 1/4 turn valve, unlike reviews of plastic models that feel flimsy. I want to give it five stars, but the plastic adapter is a big annoyance that I now have to go replace. Additional note - as others have mentioned, the aerator is definitely not as good as the factory one that came with the faucet. Some may care about that more than others. For me, it's not a big deal. Overall, no more water pitcher on the counter. My wife is happy to save space on the counter. I'm happy to have filtered water to drink on demand. It's (mostly) not a plastic piece of trash that'll explode after a month or two and soak you and everything around you. At least I hope that's the case. You can be certain I'll update if I do get soaked.

Fast flow, easy to change from filtered to faucet
I had no problem installing this. I have a deep metal sink and a high arched fountain faucet. This is perfect. The lever to change from faucet (for washing and rinsing dishes) to filtered (for washing fruits / veggies) is easy. The flow rate is excellent, though the filter will trickle a bit after shutting it off. Nothing major. My spigot moves from left to right, I can also move the attachment likewise. So it's very versatile and accommodating. The water definitely is cleaner. No more chlorine or other odor. Which I've always found weird as growing up, water didn't smell - at all. I'm 65. Very satisfied with this purchase - and its price. Hightly recommend.

Works great, taste good!
This is a great alternative to drinking from plastic bottles. It fits the sink and maneuvers in multiple directions. We are so very happy with it!

Great quality faucet water filter!!
I’ve purchased several faucet water filters in the past. All of them were made with plastic and were not great quality, which made the water pressure less. This faucet water filter is made with metal and was easy to install. It doesn’t change my water pressure so filling a cup or pitcher doesn’t take forever🤗 Replacement filters are small and easy to replace. It doesn’t have a filter indicator light so you do have to mark on your calendar when to replace the filter. Still I’m very happy with my purchase!

Not looking forward to changing the filters.
Another Update: Returned the original filter and received a replacement. This one has had zero leaks for well over a month, even using the pivot functions, which I expected to cause it to loosen. So I would say quality control is lacking but if you get a good one, it's the best one I have ever purchased. Apart from having to return the first one at all to get a working unit, overall, that process was smooth, easy and free. Also, with the second one, I was able to use a normal amount of plumber's tape. Still not looking forward to changing the filter because of that. The water pressure has not backed off so my husband still questions how well it can be filtering. For me, the bigger challenge will be knowing when to change it. I wish there was some sort of indicator, apart from time. We have a counter -top ice maker and go through a lot of water. First Update: Within a few days, this thing is leaking like crazy. It's coming out the top of the base where the filter base attaches to the housing and is a steady stream that drips contaminated water into the filtered water. The filter base is very thin metal so you feel it give when you are trying to screw it onto the housing. I don't know if something sturdier would leak less but this is clearly the weak spot of the whole thing. Where it attaches to the faucet is no issue and where it pivots, also no issue (these the two places I have had other filters leak in the past) so if they can fix the base attachment issue, this would be a great filter. I'm dropping it to two stars but I'm going to give it one more try and then I will be returning this. It took a lot of trial and error and four layers of plumber's tape to stop water from gushing out the sides of the filter base. My sleeve was soaked and I finally had to admit defeat due to my carpal tunnel and get my hubby to tighten it for me. He wound up using to the rubber jar opener to get a grip. Fortunately, they include a fairly generous amount of plumber's tape. Also, four heavy adapters, which you most likely won't need if you have a standard kitchen faucet but also means you might be able to install it in unconventional places, like a laundry sink, if it suits you for some reason. There are four adapters and I didn't need any of them. I had no issues with leaking where it attaches to the faucet, just where the filter base screws onto the cylinder. There do not seem to be any regulators in it so the water pressure about blasted the faucet right off. Ever forget you don't have you filter attached and turn on the water while you're soaking another brand's filter? Like nearly that level of pressure. I have instructed my family to only put the faucet half open because the stream comes out so hard, it splashes up from the bottom of the sink. Not sanitary. If you live in a low water pressure area, this will probably be a positive. My husband questioned how well it can be filtering. I trust the science. I am, however, concerned about the California Prop 65 warning on the box. So what part? The plastic wrap, the metal, the filter medium itself? I have never bought a filter that had that. I've used both of the major brands in faucet mount and pitcher and one made by a well known chemical company (the irony is not lost on me) and I don't recall ever seeing that on any of them. It's not deterring me, only because I have seen the warning on plastic bags for bedding and I would guess whatever is bad is in the wrappers. For those of you wondering, the entire casing is metal. It appears to be stainless steel. Apart from the gaskets that all appear to be silicone of some sort. The filter itself has plastic at the top and bottom. I don't care for the plumbers tape poking out the top, I think it looks sloppy but it's what had to be done to stop the leaks. Wrapped it like a mummy. Perhaps it will get better with time? The water itself tastes about the same as my last filter. As the filter has a layer that adds minerals back into it, it will have a TDS count. Pop open a bottle of spring water of any brand and you will get the same thing. If you like your water flat and tasteless, you should by distilled or shell out the bucks for a reverse osmosis system. Personally, I prefer the minerals. It tastes like water should. Zero odor. We have very high manganese levels in our water. I will be curious to see if this works to filter that out. Our old filter built up a slime layer around the outlet so I had to clean that off all the time. Yuck.

Soft on water and the wallet
Brilliant. Not only less than 1/3 of the price of the branded product, this alternative filter fits perfectly and simply clicks into place with a simple 1/4 turn. It took me literally 10 seconds. After the requisite flushing as with any new filter, the water was once again perfect. No more oily film on green tea. I highly recommend this replacement filter and shall definitely be buying it again from this supplier. Really first class.

Works great, no more plastic bottles.!
This device is easy to use and the water tastes great! It comes with everything you need to easily adopt it on your tap. The water also comes out very fast some of the competition the water can come out extremely slow so this is a great add-on.
