Romans: Grace, Truth, and Redemption (MacArthur Bible Studies)

I can see ordering all of these over time! Very helpful questions and explanations, plus it includes the scripture right there! So although it's helpful to have your Bible handy, (especially to look up references made by author) u could also take this with you easily, w out lugging your Bible also. It's small enough to fit in most purses, and packed with really informative notes. Good buy, especially for a book like Romans, which is fairly intense and full of meaning not easily gleened by a non scholar.

Love this bible study books

This Bible is large letters making it an 12x8. I love it! Really easy to read!

I think of Romans like the tallest rock on the mountain that is the Bible. The other rocks are equally important, but Romans is so obvious and laid out bare for all to see. The truth made plain and still it blows your mind. How can God love such a wretched woman like me? Because Jesus paid the debt of my sin with His perfect life, and 3 days later, He rose from the dead. “‘O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?’ The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭55‬-‭57‬ He appeared to thousands of eye witnesses, four of their accounts are recorded in the gospels. Those gospels were preserved in the Dead Sea Scrolls—the Bible is as true today as the day it was written. Matt 24:35 Only one of 12 disciples was not put to death for his faith. Why? Why be murdered for saying a dead guy is alive? Unless He was alive, and IS alive, and is interceding now for His children at the right hand of the Father. We can be loved by God because we’re covered by the righteousness of Christ. “Righteousness comes by God's grace alone, and faith in Christ alone brings redemption.” Turn from your sin. Repent. Accept the free gift. It is free to you, but it wasn’t free for Him. You have been bought with a price. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is God.

Excellent tool for Sunday school or small study groups

Heads up. Though I’m sure this is profitable, written by a very sound author, this is not a commentary. It is a Bible study question and answer format. Not at all what I was looking for.

I recently this past summer got back into my faith. I joined a local church and joined a Bible study for Romans. This book was a requirement and I’m so thankful that I found it. As a newish Christian this has helped me actually get into the Bible for the first time. I will say that some other questions are a bit confusing if you are practically brand new to your faith. But talking about it with my Bible study group has been great.

Verse by verse study. We use them in our Bible study almost exclusively!

Great book from the best author

Excellent and biblical

The book is basically the chapters of Romans reprinted. The discussion questions are very useless and vague. There are few “definitions “ on the sides of the pages but they are not helpful at all. Very juvenile.
