Works great and nice and quiet
Installed in the bathroom ceiling, set to high speed by adjusting the internal jumper plug. Nice and powerful and very quiet in operation. Really pleased with it, would definitely recommend. Just one thing to note, you canโt fix a 100mm flexible pipe directly to the back of it or it will interfere with the non return flaps and stop them opening, you need to get an adapter pipe/ connector to fix on the back and then attach the flexible pipe to the adapter.

Replacement for a poorly sucking unit.
It was easy to replace my original unit with this one. I had to extend the wiring as the connection was in a different place to the first unit. There is a horizontal line that you need to be aware of, fitting the unit with this in mind enables the back flaps to operate properly. I did originally try to fit it rotated so that the wiring fitted, but not only did the back flaps hang open, the outer cover (with name) was at an angle! Being a little OCD that would have annoyed me! I bought the timer version, it needs two power sources, One from the light source and the other from the fan isolation switch. It will stay on for about 30 minutes (Time is adjustable) once the light is turned off. The unit has a 2 speed jumper adjustment, I have mine set to high. It isn't silent but not extremely loud either! The unit comes with 2 covers, square or round, I used the round one, It feels a little fragile the first time I twisted it to remove the cover, but after a couple of fitments it hasn't broke, so must be fit for purpose. I am happy with this purchase, it is definitely better than the unit that came with the house (New build!).

Very quiet, great design
Editing my review because I realised after purchasing 4 of these, the shutters would not open on any of them! If you push with a screwdriver from inside, you can test this! The ducting was obstructing them from behind as there is no leeway plastic to ensure freedom of shutter movement. I was basically extracting against closed shutters. I have had to make improvised collars today with plastic from bottles that fits around the fan but also permits the ducting to sit on the fan as well. It has been a nightmare but testing with a scredriver again today I have successfully fixed this. If you are a returning customer, test your old ones ASAP! If a new customer, ensure you have a plan to mitigate potebtial ducting obstructing the fan shutters. These are good fans with an unfortunate flaw! Original review: Nice product, nice look to it, really glad it has a self closing flap on the back as well, to stop back draughts. Bought 2 to replace old fans I could see outside through them. Also updated outside cowels to covered/flap style and stops ridiculous heat loss experienced before. Product isn't flush to wall and has 3 screw holes so had to patch up previous fans square holes and wallpaper afterwards, worth the change over for extra insulation and warmth in winter.

Timer only triggers on falling edge.
The 'timer' model doesn't work as I expected. I have a pull cord switch in the bathroom that turns the fan on, and the whole point of replacing my old fan with this timer model was to save energy and have it automatically turn itself off. But it the timer is only triggered on a 'falling edge' or when the switch is off! In other words you must pull the cord a second time, then it will stay on but eventually turn off by itself. I can't understand why anybody would buy a timer model only to have to still throw a switch twice! This is useless and defeats the entire point of getting a fan with a timer: to turn off automatically in case somebody leaves the switch on. --- I managed to find a MK31906A 2 Way Ceiling Pull Cord Switch, which is momentary instead of latching, and I have this momentary pull cord switch in front of a double-pole isolator switch that will cut off the permanent live and neutral for safety. This now does the trick: you can enter the bathroom, pull the cord, and the fan turns on, starts its timer, and eventually turns off. But unfortunately for some reason you have to hold it down for about 6 seconds when you start the fan or it won't start at all. I think this is because the fan uses some kind of primitive RC capacitor circuit for the timer. Also the cover is a nightmare to remove and I can't seem to do it without destroying bits of my ceiling.
