I bought this for a science project for my daughter’s class. I love that it came with two kaleidoscopes – it allowed her to practice on one at home and then use the other to make in class for her project. It was simple to use and she had fun making it.

Did these with my grandsons this summer. They had a lot of fun picking what to put inside the cup. Once all together they were amazed. They were in awe. It was a great project.

I purchased this for my kids, hoping to provide a fun and educational activity that would also foster their creativity. The kit delivered on many fronts, providing not only a great crafting experience but also an enjoyable way for them to explore light, reflections, and symmetrical patterns. The kit comes with everything needed to create a working kaleidoscope, which includes various reflective materials, colorful beads, and durable paper tubes. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, allowing my kids to take the lead in the assembly with just a little guidance from me. They were thrilled to see their creations come to life and even more excited to peer through the kaleidoscope and see the beautiful patterns they had created. However, while the kit was educational and engaging, the overall durability of the finished product was a bit disappointing. The paper tube components, while adequate for assembly and initial play, began to show wear after a few uses. We noticed that the tubes could easily bend and the end caps would sometimes pop off when dropped, which happened a couple of times during normal use. Despite the durability issues, the kit was a hit in terms of educational value and the joy it brought. It's a fantastic way to introduce children to the concepts of optics and symmetry through hands-on learning. For parents looking for a creative and educational activity for their kids, I would recommend the FunKidz DIY Kaleidoscope Making Craft Kit, but perhaps with the suggestion to reinforce the kaleidoscopes with some additional tape or a protective covering to enhance durability. Overall, I give this product four stars because it offers significant educational and fun value, despite needing a bit of improvement in the robustness of its components.

The pitcher shows 6 glass lenses period mine only came with 4 period it's supposed to build 2 kaleidoscopes, but it only put one prism in the package period I feel it should have come with more instructions period I knew something was wrong. I used it for a class lesson, for 2nd grade science unit, on sound and light. I thought it would be a perfect hands on project for this unit, to engage the children. They loved it. I Aldo brought the box of 30 Kaleidoscope already malready made comma so at the end of the class each child could go home with one of their own. The kids like this so much. It went into a second day of redoing the project period taking it apart and analyzing it and trying to do it different ways period that's when I realized something had to be missing period I will order this again and hopefully all the parts will be there this time here. I was disappointed but the kids weren't. I guess that's all that matters.

This was not a very good product it came with no directions and the peices fall off.

This is a great product. The directions aren’t super detailed but we managed just fine. Is you have additional small sparkling beads you can add them to make it more personalized. The included prism seemed like it may be acrylic and its reflective quality was a little disappointing. For this price making 2 kaleidoscopes was a great deal!
