REOTEMP Backyard Compost Thermometer - 20" Stem, with Composting Instructions (0-200 Fahrenheit)

Good product. Long term used and doing fine

Is there a negative start option available at Amazon? Coz this one deserves NO star at all. Me and my friends ordered 3 thermometers as we wanted to start the compost pile in summer. All 3 turned out to be defective. It wasn’t calibrated and showed the temperature as 45 - 55 F in ice. I got it replaced and the next one had the exact same issue. It almost looked like they are sending the same thermometer again again. It’s rainy season now and still haven’t been able to get one good thermometer for the last 3 months! Every time I order the delivery time is 15-20 days and on the day if delivery it gets updated and says delayed. And then the package gets lost! And finally arrives after another 10 days of waiting! I understand it needs to be shipped from US but come on more than 30 days to deliver?! Is that fair?? And after all the waiting it’s a defective product. Such a waste of money and time. Super annoyed and I thought Reotemp is the best manufacturer for compost thermometer. If this is what best looks like I wonder how they would operate if they were not the best.

The product is doing what I purchased it for

Good find, works very well

Llego en excelentes condiciones, muy práctico y funcional para composta casera. Excelente producto

A low cost and reliable way to monitor your compost. I has a color coded temperature scale so you can tell at a glance if the pile is cold or if it's working. I have been turning the pile when it drops from warm to cold or if it needs moisture and it seems to work very well. The thermometer eliminates a lot of guess work which speeds up my composting and who dose not need more compost and faster? It.s use is pretty strait forward and dosnt really need instructions although some are provided. You can just leave it inserted in the pile for quick reference. seems well made, time will tell.
