This knife appears to be just as good as an Opinel, the blade is thin, sharp and slightly flexible, in contrast to a Victorinox blade which is more rigid. It has a rotating collar, similar to an Opinel. It is nice to see such good quality knives at reasonable prices.

The wood on this knife came completely unfinished, completely raw wood. Be prepared to sand and add some kind of protective finish to the wood. I know it's an inexpensive knife but a few more minutes to sand the rough edges would have been nice. I sanded for about 10 minutes and wiped with food grade mineral oil and it's good. The blade was not sharp, struggled to cut paper. Only took a few minutes to get it to shave hair. The knife is not good to go right out of the box. It's fine now but I would pay a few dollars more for a better wood finish and sharp blade.

Good stuff

I like the blade shape, but the rotating ferrule used to lock the blade is loose. Its so loose that to lock it closed I can't used the notch designed to do this. I would either get an Opinel or an Old Bear. They are much better made and seem to have better QC.

I love this little knife being my EDC mate! I put Opinel pocket clip on it and now it fits perfectly to my pocket.

I got the bubinga wood and love it. I own several Opinels, this Joker compares in size to an No7, and I honestly I like the Joker better. Many people find they have to modify the Opinel, due to blade shape and handle shape, but the Joker is perfect right from factory. Love the Joker blade shape, Joker handle shape good, with tapered flat sides. The lock is fine. Good value, quality, functionality. Bubinga is a good premium luxury wood and it’s more reasonably priced than the Opinel premium wood price. So, buying Joker is a no-brainer.

Knife looks good but lacks the quality of the Opinel Knifes. Finishing not very exact. Safety collar damages wood and leaves splinters. Repairable with a little bit of sandpaper.

The blade would not lock. Locking collar was too big. Locking collar was also loose. My Jocker fixed blades were very well made though.

A nice little and cheap knife, a bit smaller than the André Verdier’s L’alpage depuis 1859 knife which has a 8.4 cm blade with a decent sturdy wooden handle giving out a 19.4 cm overall length that has the best ergonomics on the world that’s why according to my modest opinion, however that knife’s inox blade becames rusty after a year; let’s hope this Joker knife will last longer. This Joker knife has got an 7.5 cm inox blade and a 17.4 cm overall length. It sits pleasantly in the palm, and albeit the raw untreated wooden handle is also subject to age and become damaged quickly, but that’s a kind of beauty in those old fashioned knives in case you can appreciate this. It is really a technology from the mid-19th century, with other words you also buy some time-machine in these knives in some sense. The ring-lock can be turned 360 degrees by this Spanish Joker knife, while by the French L’alpage you aren’t allowed to turn the lock that much, that’s also a little difference.

Ähnelt dem Opinel Gärtnermesser und aus diesem Grund bei mir beliebt. Irgendwie kann ich mit deren Standardklingenform nicht so richtig was anfangen.

Buena compra. Tamaño justo para el bocadillo en el trabajo. Es lo que buscaba, una navaja básica de calidad.
