SIRUI 35mm Anamorphic Lens F1.8 1.33X APS-C Cinema Lens for M4/3 Mount(SR-35M)

I love this lens. Even though it's just 1.33x, you get all the anamorphic qualities you know and love. Personally, I wish there was more barrel distortion cause I like that look, but for those who love a clean image, there's very little distortion. Built like a tank, absolutely great.

I purchased this lens for a different perspective for landscape stills with a Canon M6 Mk2. I am still experimenting and evaluating but so far I am impressed with color rendering and sharpness. It is not "razor" sharp but then it is not intended to be. It just has a nice even consistency across the frame. Think of a Zeiss lens "pop" with a matte finish. I would knock off a half a star for the mount replacement which is another issue.

This has very quickly become my favorite lens. It's a tiny soft when you're shooting with it wide open, but otherwise it'a very sharp, delivers a clean, beautiful image, flares super nicely, and has very clean bokek! It makes me want to get the other lenses in the set!

Unfortunately, the lens arrived in an open box with parts of the original wrapping missing, As the product was used, it was send back immediately. While the lens looked prestine, it is not acceptable to sell a used item without indicating in the description of the item that it is not a brand new one!

I enjoyed this lens for the brief time it worked. It’s incredibly heavy compared to other M43 lenses but it’s also fairly specialized. However. After 6 months and maybe ten uses, one of the aperture leaves stuck (see image). Now all images have doubling in the out of focus areas. Sirui said it was covered under warranty but it requires me to ship back to the factory in China via FedEx. Estimates start at $163.00 from my area. I will not be sending it back. Buyer beware if depending on warranty.

i would give it 5 star , but when i tried to mount it on BMCC MFT camera, it was very stiff to connect. i sent mail to Sirui, with video and explenation , wait for solution, i will update when i have one. I wrote SIRUI support, and they assisted me very quickly , they sent me a new adaptor with screws and even a scewdriver. i replced it and now it is not stiff , and works great. very good customer support.

Sirui lens is compact, Sturdy and well built. It is comparably heavier than my Rokinon cinelens of the same size. I like the picture quality that I get after de-squeezing it in post.

It is hard to describe what I'm feeling after using this lens for some time. Probably expected more than I get, so a bit disappointed with it. It is a good lens for M4/3, decently sharp and feels nice in hands. But anamorphic effect is so negligible... 1.33x format is just not enough, especially on close focusing distances, oval bokeh is nonexistent. It has blue strikes, but in most cases they're just annoying, especially for nature daylight shots. This lens just looks like any other lens, nothing special.

Excelente óptica para M4/3, da un aspecto cinematográfico a mis rodajes con la GH7, un cuerpo robusto que aguanta cualquier rodaje, unas bengalas contenidas, muy luminoso F 1.8 , prefiero rodar a 2.8 , y con engranajes suaves, lleva anillas dentadas para control enfoque y diafracma. En resumen no na de esas compras que cuanto más tiempo pase , te dejará más contento. El precio es casi un regalo, yo compré el 75mm. Estoy valorando la compra del 24mm VS 50mm. Los recomiendo sin ninguna restriccion.

Il rapporto qualità prezzo di un' ottica di questo tipo è impressionante. Sirui spedisce le sue ottiche in una doppia scatola, una classica di cartone stile pacco brandizzata Sirui e all'interno una bianca con l'immagine della lente. La confezione in stile Apple è molto elegante, tolto il cellophane e il sigillo all'interno l'ottica è imbustata addirittura sotto vuoto. Peso notevole in quanto in metallo e con vetri di qualità. Gli elementi ovali all'interno generano quelle tipiche aberrazioni che sono diventate anche un segno distintivo del cinema, flare orizzontale blu (da usare in modo controllato), deformazioni laterali e luci ovali anziché steriche. Il risultato è eccellente sia in 4 k che in 6 k. Forse 1.5 anziché 1.33 sarebbe stato ancora meglio ma in ogni caso il risultato finale è di alto livello per un immagine cinematografica assoluta. Prima di Sirui non avremmo mai pensato di acquistare un'ottica anamorfica a 360 euro (Amazon sempre prezzi migliori perché io listino sarebbe molto più alto) forse con questa cifra si poteva noleggiare... Naturalmente l'anamorfico deve essere al servizio della storia e della narrazione e non il contrario ;-)

Utilisé pour réaliser des documentaires, cet objectif a un rendu "cinématic ou plutôt cinématographique" particulièrement efficace, la précision alliée a une certaine douceur de l'image rappellerai presque le rendu des anciennes optiques Leica des années 60 ! Avec un rapport qualité prix exceptionnel.
