I bought this Leviton cord outlet to replace a worn-out plug on one of my extension cords, and it worked perfectly. The build quality is noticeably better than the cheap replacement ends you find in most hardware bins. Does the job great. I have an old 100ft extension cord that's old and not worth replacing since its 10awg wire, only issue is the original female side of the cord has seen better days. Over years and years of use and getting hot it's deformed a bit and doesn't hold onto plugs well at all. This product was a great solution to breath some new life into it. Very easy to install just strip your wire and tighten down the screws over it like you would replacing an outlet inside. Super high quality and made of strong stiff plastic, it definitely won't deform like the old one did and i imagine it will hold up to being dropped or throw on the ground for the rest of my life. It isn't very big but still a lot bigger than a normal plug end, which isn't a worry for me at all. Best of all this grabs onto your plugs tight and hopefully it stays tight, as my dad always told me, if it ain't tight it ain't right.

This plug is well made and it has been designed to be easy to install. The sturdy construction means it should last. This is ideal for round extension cords, etc.

Corrected review. This is a good replacement outlet! Realized that my initial frustration assembling this was because of inadvertently using the old outlet part! Once I used the new outlet part, all went smoothly. The outlet holds non-grounded 2 prong plugs as it should. Recommended!

This is a very nice cord outlet. It is put together very nice and allows for easy installation. It should last you for many years. It is a quality product. It is not of the quality that the old USA manufactures use to make, but it still is put together well so that it will not burn your house down. For the price it is an excellent choice. I suppose you could pay more to get something better. For me it is a great product and worked exactly the way it should.

I’m a diy guy so it took a little bit to get this on and closed up, but product seems solid and straight forward.

Worked great saved about 30% of what I would’ve paid at Lowe’s.

Previous end got hot so went for Leviton a name I know. End and extension cord now stay cool. Same specs.
