It took my 7 year old grandson to figure it out. It's for carrying the cups when not in use.

Are these dishwasher safe?

Don't know but expect they would be like most plastic cups on top shelf... I think you could rinse them out with soap if you are worried..

What else comes with the cups? In the picture there is a stick thing... Not sure what it is.

The stick is a useful thing to have. It puts all cups in one stack and locks up so the speed cups won't fall out
