. . . a single serve cup, I must share my experience with you. I have had versions of this Cuisinart for five or six years now, started with the Keurig but the things kept failing and I grew tired of returning them - they spent more time in a return box than on my countertop, done with that! Found this and immediately grew to like it. Dependable, for the most part, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, compact, yah, nice fit for me. I quickly found out that no matter how functional they are, these are time limited - not grannies 50-75 year heirloom coffee pots, those days are long over. Had two of these spanning five to six years but eventually they give up. If I do the math correctly, if purchased one for an average of 2 years for $80.00, that means that 365x2=730 days. $80.00/730=rounded to 11 cents per day. Now I consider this a win considering the throw away appliances that are sold to us. Having said that, this third one from Cuisinart came to me defective. Quickly, the push to ON/OFF switch pressed on but did not spring back so that I could push to off, poor QC at the factory. Sent it back through Amazon's wonderful return policy, got refunded, and quickly ordered another as a replacement, works just fine. Here is your takeaway: set the thing up when it arrives, and immediately put it through it's paces - stress test it. Run vinegar through it, cycle it then with clean water to flush over, and over, and over again. Make sure all the features work, don't wait to the last minute. The thing works just fine now. Will it break tomorrow, God only knows but finally, 5Gold because I really like it, good luck!

I bought this over a similar Keurig because it is a machine that takes up less counter space. As opposed to my old Brewville, there are no real bells and whistles just the power and one of three cup sizes. I mad a cup and the coffee is good and hot It is fast and very quiet. I like the rear mounted reservoir which helps keep the width about 2 - 3" narrower than the equivalent Keurig. Like ALL machines with hot water on demand (no wait brewing) turn off when done. Leaving the machine on will keep water hot when you want it but will accelerate calcification. My expensive Brewville went into the dumpster because of this and it was no longer supported. So my advise is every 2 weeks, do a white vinegar flush and keep it off unless you are ready to use. 2 Years Later: Still working as it did when it was new. However, during the past 2 years I noticed a few little issues. Occasionally (not very often), the coffee maker would lock up and nothing works. It has to be allowed to site with the unit unplugged for about 1/2 hour to allow it to reset. The tank could be a bit larger since after brewing two cups, the reservoir is empty. It does not brew as fast as my previous brewer. It could use one more size option aside from 7,10 & 12 oz. Otherwise if you are not a heavy duty user, this is ideal. If you entertain, get this coffee makers bigger brother. 3 years later, still going strong. I use various brands of K Cups and never had one that wouldn't brew in this machine. (6?29/2020)

I used to love these, my first 3 were great! When my daughter got an apartment I gave one to her and bought another. When we got a cabin I took the 2nd one there and got another one. Again, after a time gave my son that one and ordered my FOURTH. I have a coffee area with a flat plastic placement under the machine and my daughter in law showed me the surface underneath was all wet, so it was leaking. Too late to send it back so Amazon gave me a refund and I promptly ordered another one. So my FIFTH, same thing. Leaking. Too late to send it back. Keurig, here I come.

The Cuisinart SS-5P1 Coffeemaker worked great. It is compact, and well designed. The simplicity of the unit makes it easy for anyone to use, including a clear compartment on the back to add the water where you can see exactly the amount of water in the unit, very smart! If my 93 year old mom can use it then anyone can, and my mom said the coffee was delicious! It has three cup size settings, and the coffee comes out without any coffee grounds in it too. We bought the Cuisinart Cup where you can add your own ground coffee into the cup, and it cost around $30.00. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a simple single cup coffeemaker, that makes a great cup of coffee. The only thing is my mom likes her coffee really hot, so after making the coffee I put the cup in the microwave for about a minute, and the coffee comes out very hot.

Personally for the price, I think it’s the best single cup coffee maker out there. Yes it leaks, IF, IF IF you take the reservoir off the machine BUT you don’t have to. Just fill up the reservoir with a pitcher and voila, it doesn’t leak. I only make 1-2 cups in the morning, so this fits the bill. You can use Kcups with this or your own coffee in their own basket they provide with the machine. I like using my own coffee so using the basket/pod they provide makes it worthwhile. It takes about 45 seconds for a cup to brew. So the fact it doesn’t have a timer or clock is negligible. It’s simple bare bones single cup machine where you can use your own preferred coffee and not Kcups.

This is my second Cuisinart single serve coffeemaker. I have had NO PROBLEMS WITH LEAKING with either model. This model has some advantages over the older model (which I still keep as a spare). It is easier to grip the fill tank since it is redesigned and easier to put back on the machine. The coffee comes out hot and brews quickly. It works well with the after market reusable and refillable K-cup that you can fill with your favorite ground coffee (I use it with the K cup paper filters available through Amazon for no mess clean up) if you are like me and find buying prefilled K cup coffee pods that can't be recycled easily expensive and wasteful. The coffee maker automatically turns off after 30 minutes which is a safety feature I like. The only complaint I had was that it took about a month to come. I'm not sure why.

I am loving this coffee maker, the size is perfect for me. This is the 3rd single serve coffee maker I have bought, one was too big and I ended giving it away, bought a smaller one but I didn’t like it because each time I had to add water and it took up more space than this one. I like that it holds enough water without being so bulky. The coffee turns out great and I am the person who always had whole beans and would grind them myself , now I am liking having an assortment of coffee pods with a very fast cup of coffee. So glad I decided to buy this was, I was a little reluctant after reading a review it leaked, I have not had any leaking with this coffee maker, everything about it has been perfect .

When you open the box, right on top are the instructions. Kudos to Cuisinart for putting the instructions on top. Too many manufacturers. Bury the instructions and make it hard to find. The packing material in the box is pulp-style formed cardboard which is a plus because it is recyclable. Loose on top of the molded cardboard is a small water filter in a baggie for the coffee maker, so be careful not through it out. The coffee maker itself is shipped in a plastic bag with additional plastic wrapping underneath that, so you've got a nice clean shipping package without having too much additional plastic. The smaller pieces of the machine are taped onto the main unit so it won't be easy to lose them. The K-cup holder on the top is removable, so you can clean it easily as well as pop it out and use one of the adapter cups for your ground coffee, in case you don't have a K-cup handy. The controls on this machine are pretty simple. You have a main power button, three different buttons for size? (Six, eight, and 10 oz) of coffee that you wish, and a light-up notifier to tell you when you need to add water. We've had our machine for less than a week, and we noticed that it started leaking. At first, we thought that we had spilled when filling the reservoir, but looking carefully, we discovered that the valve at the bottom of the reservoir was leaking. When it was mounted on the machine. It would leak a full reservoir of water overnight, to give you an idea of the speed. It was replaced under warranty, and in a very short time, the reservoir in the second unit started leaking in a manner very similar to the first one. We’ll be returning this one too. unfortunately, as much as I initially liked this machine, because of the way it leaks I cannot recommend buying this particular unit.

La cafetera al cien, no he tenido fallas, pero anteriormente mi tía adquirió el mismo artículo y si venía incluido el vaso con rejilla, en esta no, estuvo más cara y lo tuve que adquirir por aparte. No me gustó eso, hubiera preferido otras que ya había visto, sin embargo funciona bien
