It is currently saving my hair!
I want to start off by saying I am in NO way getting paid or receiving any bribes for this review. I started hair thinning in my mid-twenties. So, I tried Monat. Monat was okay but it didn't leave my hair feeling soft and it was hard to brush through after showering. Plus, the price tag is outrageous. You have to pay for a membership THEN pay for the products at what they call a "discounted price" of a whopping $40 per bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Let's face it, I'm poor. So I stopped. I switched to a natural WalMart brand. A little easier on the wallet. But after 3 months of use my husband told me my hair stunk (which it did even after using the product) and I developed dandruff. I then saw an ad for Prose. I thought eh, why not? I would regret that decision. Prose is supposed to be customized to your area you live, the water hardness, and your hair type. Well about the first week of using it, it was great. But then I started noticing some startling stuff. After I showered (shoot even after I shampooed) my hair was coming out in clumps! My brush would fill up after one brushing. I had a trail of hair from the bathroom to the bedroom on the floor. I was cleaning out my shower drain every month to two months (NOT NORMAL!) My hair became brittle and dry. It was rough to the touch. Not to mention I was paying $60 for two tiny bottles of this stuff every month. I knew it was time for a change when I noticed thousands of tiny hairs sticking straight up from my head. And my scalp was SO itchy. So, I researched and researched and this stuff didn't have too terrible of reviews so I thought at this point, anything is better than Prose. I'm so glad I chose this stuff. First time I used it, I felt the product working. And when I say "working" it was nourishing my scalp and my hair. I allowed the shampoo and conditioner time to set in my hair as the directions state. The smell was a little strong at first, but honestly I love it. I suffer from allergies all year and it helps me breathe a little. Plus, when my hair gets a little wet, I can smell the minty freshness, so I know it stays in my hair. I've been using it a week now and here's what I've noticed. While showering, I no longer lose hair! When I brush, there are only a few strands in my brush. My hair is SO silky, soft, and it's the shiniest it's ever been! My tiny little hairs have actually grown out and are laying flat with the rest of my hair. My hair doesn't get oily if I skip a couple washes (let's face it, life happens). If I have it up in a hair tie, I can let it loose and within several minutes it lays out straight. I don't have the tell tale buldge of a pony tail. My scalp is no longer itchy. It's easier to manage. I am a simple girl. I don't use heat tools but maybe once or twice a year. I just wash and let air dry or style while wet or when it's dry the next day. This stuff has brought my hair back to life and doesn't have me freaking out about losing all my hair. Granted, I have been using it for just a week but I am already seeing massive progress with this product over the other brands. Plus, the price tag is WAAAAY more manageable especially with all this inflation crap. My bottles came secured with tamper seals and they both had no leaks. I WILL be ordering more in the future. Additionally, I noticed it says this product is lice repellent! That's a huge plus for me, considering my line of work and I go into the nastiest of the nasty houses at times. Bugs terrify me. I've never had lice and I never want to, so this was also a HUGE plus for me. I do notice bugs (flying ones) stay away from my hair/head. 👍 I wish I had a before and after photo for you but honestly, I didn't think this stuff would work this great!

Absolute perfection
For context, my scalp and my roots are oily (so is my skin), but my hair is colored and very long, which means that my length is normal, and the ends are a bit dry. It's always a pain to find good products that actually tend to all of my hair needs. They need to be color safe, "clarifying" enough to remove excessive oil and residues from my scalp, but not drying enough to damage my length and ends. On top of that, I've been dealing with mild hair loss, mainly on my temples and forehead hairline. I believe I found my perfect combo: the Pacifica Scalp Detox Tonic – Rosemary Apple Cider Scalp Exfoliator, which I use when my scalp feels extra oily or dirty; this First Botany Tea Tree Mint set; and the Botanic Hearth Advanced Rosemary Water Spray For Hair Growth With Peppermint and Biotin. The First Botany Tea Tree Mint SHAMPOO smells SUPER herbal. This is impossible to miss, and it's quite strong while washing. At first, I didn't know if I liked it or not, but the benefits outweigh the scent for sure. After ONE single wash, my scalp felt clean and reinvigorated. Surprisingly, it wasn't dried out, which, at the time, made me question the efficiency of this shampoo. The First Botany Tea Tree Mint CONDITIONER was a pleasant surprise, even though it smelled the same as the shampoo. It instantly made my hair feel soft and easy to detangle (I use a Tangle Teezer hair brush to distribute the conditioner better and gently get rid of pesky knots). After my hair air-dried, it was extremely soft and clean, and the overpowering herbal scent was very subdued and pleasant. The next day, it looked perfectly clean as well; I was expecting to see some oil building up, but it wasn't the case. 48 hours later, STILL no major trace of oil, which is a win in my book. At this point, with any other shampoo and conditioner set, my roots would be looking considerably dirty. It's the biggest surprise ever, considering that I apply the hair growth spray twice a day, and it contains rosemary oil in it. I felt no need to apply a dry shampoo or wash it again. This product works. I can't attest to the hair growth properties yet, but these immediate perks are absolutely incredible. Even if it doesn't bring me growth results, I will keep buying it. It's a rare win-win situation, and I totally recommend it to anyone with oily scalps and roots.

Really good product, if you like tea tree smell
I don't like the tea tree smell, but the shampoo itself is outstanding. It leaves the hair clean and sleek and soft. Which you don't really get from Dove or big brand. I have hard water and it did not leave that heavy feeling that I get with other shampoo. Will keep using but probably in the summer as tea tree is a good bug repellent, but the smell is too strong for me and it lingers for a long time. Of you like that smell then, that's the shampoo for you.

Great quality.
This shampoo and conditioner are great, the bottles are a little smaller than the picture indicates that is my fault for not looking at the fluid ounce on the bottle, but it is perfect, smells great, feels great, has no color, they come with two lids, a solid lid and another lid that pops open. Packaged nicely with tight plastic around both bottles holding them together.

If you are sensitive to smells
The shampoo and conditioner themselves perform well. They lather nicely and leave hair feeling clean. The issue for me is the scent. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and tend to notice odors more strongly than others, so this may not be an issue for everyone. However, to me the scent is very potent and resembles rubber or car tires. Unfortunately, this made the product difficult for me to use, as strong or unusual scents can trigger migraines for me. If you are sensitive to smells, this may be something to consider before purchasing.
