is this batery operated or 120vac?

No. Its electric but ge sure to get the LED ones. I didnt know and got regular ones in & i almost had a fire! Lights & cord got extremely hot. Put in for return & said what happened & they sent me LED. My don uses them nightly on his walks at our summer home.

It's about 10 ft long with the first light about 30 inches from the plug

Possible to use with European 220 electricity?
