Great dictionary for elementary and middle school kids. Should last a while.

perfect purchase experience. my stepson had just came to live us for good in the summer. and welp I was working on him getting ready for the new school year in a new state with grade appropriate work books. well.... I can only answer so many questions and he was at the age of needing to figure it out on his own. so when he'd ask a question I'd tell him.... go get your book and find it, and he did. the book is perfect. now if only there was a book on how to handle pre-teens for me.

Great dictionary to carry through to high school
Got this dictionary for my grandson who is in 4th grade. He immediately looked up a word that my husband gave him. He needed a little help at first but grasped the concept of guide words quickly.

Perfect for middle school
I had purchased a children's dictionary for my oldest son a few years ago but this year- 6th grade- we noticed that a lot of his vocabulary words weren't listed in the children's book. I bought this and am very pleased! So far every vocab word has been listed and he is able to easily use the dictionary. I believe it will be very useful in the next several grades.

Worn cover; otherwise great
Great dictionary for middle schoolers. Nice selection of words; very easy to use. The hardback cover was scratched up/slightly worn (I ordered New). Returned and reordered another new copy - received a new dictionary with a worn cover as well. The pages are fine (new). Great for home use, but not the best gift.
