West System 206-A Slow Hardener

West systems good stuff, price cheaper here than boat store rip.

Used with the 105 resin to fill a 3/16" wide by 6" long crack in a walnut slab. Worked very nicely.

West epoxy has always worked well for me.

West systems offers an excellent base resin, the number 105. Choose your Harder,, predicated on short or fast hardening, the 205 and 206 are good choices. Read through the data to choose what you want for your application. This is great for bonding to wood, fiberglass, Etc. I use it for large RC models.

Only down side beside not being about to buy pumps separately is eventually it will leak through the metal can and onto whatever it is sitting on even some plastics like milk carton 1 gal pastic jug. So don't keep it for 3-4 years or more. The epoxy resin, the clear stuff is not as bad but the hardeners are different. They impart the properties like hardness and chemical resistance to the final cured product. Some nasty chemicals used to make them (I worked in a research lab that made hardeners) so always wear gloves. I might add we built a 41 foot sailboat with West System epoxy/hardener. It's been around since at least the 70s.

The applicator for the hardener and the resin make mixing the two very easy. No guessing how much hardener to mix with the resin. One pump of each makes the process fool proof.

Fast hardener sets up in about 5 minutes. Easy to mix with the pump system.

You need this hardener combined with the 105 epoxy resin.I use it to fill up crack in wood with different tints. In the picture I used a very dark dye mixed with the epoxy
