This set is amazing! The design of this build is cute!

DISCLAIMER - I am an adult Harry Potter fan who dressed up to go to midnight movie and book releases, so I may have a bit of a bias in my review. That said, so far this is my favorite of all the LEGO builds I’ve done (HP and non-HP). The details are amazing and it’s a fairly easy build. The cupboard under the stairs is a great hidden gem, and the letters coming out of the fireplace is brilliantly done! The Ford Anglia has a chain that attaches to the bars on the window; Harry Potter fans know what’s next (I stood Ron on top of the car just to have a place to put him). Just below the window is a little slot. You put the letters in the slot, turn the handle on the back (by the fireplace) and the letters come shooting out! It’s also a good place to store them when you aren’t shooting them out of the fireplace over and over and over again (and then a few times more just because it’s fun to see how far you can get them to shoot)! It’s just oodles of fun to build and has enough entertainment value to even amuse an adult. I think a 10 year old could do this with minimal help (there’s just a couple of places they might need a lift); an 8 year old would likely need a little more help. Regardless, this is a super build; very creative! A must for any Harry Potter fan (even if you’re not into LEGO).

This is a nice small set because it includes three important figures and two special patronus pieces that have never been released before. It connects well with other parts of the Hogwarts castle. I am very satisfied with it. The following is what I like and what I dislike: What I like: The new Patronus pieces are very sparkly and generally outstanding. In fact, I opened this box, my girlfriend saw them, grabbed them, and has refused to give them back to me the rest of my life (for now). The figures are also neat. I love Harry, Luna and Hermione’s Hogwarts robes and the target figure’s overall design. I normally hate stickers but I really appreciate the ones that come in this set because they are very detailed. The set connects well with the Hogwarts Castle set. Cons: My only con is that the moving wall can be clunky at times. But, I think all of the exclusive figures and parts make up for this, and I still think it is a great set for anyone. Bought this for my grandson for his birthday. He loved it. It was very intricate and he had great fun assembling. It was a big hit .

An enjoyable yet smaller Lego set. These days it's hard to find a Lego set that might take some time to build and have fun doing so for an inexpensive price. This one gave me a build time of about 40 minutes. It was fun but felt to quick. Also, some of the legos are so small that if you need to take them apart it can be incredibly difficult. It's still a fun set to build. I just wish there was more to it without the massive price tag Lego puts on their products.

Arrived fast, intact. Easy to follow the instructions, pieces slide easy, fun details . I like the little Patronus that come with it .
