Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Google Pixel 4a Case (2020) [NOT Compatible with Pixel 4a 5G] - Matte Black

My hands are on the smaller side, but I have no trouble with the fingerprint reader. Even with the swipe down option, I do not struggle with this case. I have had it since August 2020 and the case is still great. I have dropped my phone plenty of times and have not broken it. That being said, I also do use tempered glass screen protectors. It is slim, but not too slim where I feel like it doesn't give good protection. The case gives a slight lift so your screen won't scratch and even gives a bit of room for the added screen protector. The back camera cutout also has a slight lift to keep it from scratching. Grip is perfect and the button covers never interfere with the function of the buttons. All the cutouts for headphone jack and USB are never too small for any headphones or USBs I have had to use. I also use a pop socket which sticks to the back surface with no trouble. Any scratches on the back surface are unnoticeable. Case is easy to remove when needed. Over time the case has become easier to remove when I regularly clean my pixel but still does not come off on its own or when dropped. Case still looks clean and neat after phone has been in dirt and other substances over the past year. I always want a new phone case just for fun but cannot bring myself to buy a new one when my old one is just as good as when I first got it! I have Spigen brand on other phones before and they are always great quality for the price. I will definitely be using their cases whenever I update to another phone.

I don't usually write reviews but in this instance I felt like I had to because I think this is a really great case and the description or included pictures don't do it justice. I have attached a few photos to show it in a live setting (not a render). The back has a very nice "grainy" texture which feels great to the touch and does NOT show any sign of fingerprints whatsoever. The sides (which are not very visible in the product photos but I added a photo to show them), have a nice "slanted lines" pattern which helps in the grip and also feels good to the touch. Overall the look of the case is really impressive and clean/modern. The addition of the carbon fiber details and area surrounding the camera add to the professional look of the case. Every single hole is perfectly aligned with the original holes/buttons. The front lip is high enough so that the screen does not touch the surface anymore when facing down. I do not know how well the case protect the phone in case of a drop as I have not dropped my phone. Several other reviews have mentioned that the case is "slippery". I do not believe so. It might be more slippery than other cases (do not have a way to compare), but it is far less slippery than the phone without this case.

I just bought the 4a but it felt thin and vulnerable without a case. The camera glass protrudes a little more than a mm from the back. Every time I set it down on a hard surface I was worried that it would get scratched. Also I have biggish hands and the 4a felt small. It also was hard to pick up off some smooth surfaces. This case is perfect. I had a spigen on my old phone and it held up great after two years of daily usage. It protected my phone from a few drops onto hard surfaces. This one feels like it is made of identical material. It makes the phone feel much better in my hands; less slick and thicker so it is easier to pick up. It also provides plenty of protection for the back camera. I really recommend this case. I h

This case is one piece and flexible but feels rigid once on the phone. It fits precisely and tightly. All cut outs are perfectly cut for the camera, finger print reader and the power and volume buttons feel like they came with the phone. There is a raised area around the screen to keep the screen from contacting surfaces. As for the tactile nature of this case it's pretty good overall. The non button side has little hash marks indented to help grip. I've had no problems with grip but a bit more tackiness on the left side would be appreciated. Overall this has met my needs well. Perhaps not as much overall protection as some cases but easy to grasp and pocket. I had been using a Unicorn Beetle on my last phone which I really liked too. It was slightly larger ( possibly more protective) with port covers. In both cases I use the liquid glass screen protector which I like for it's protection, easy cleaning and clearness. No regrets with this purchase. Of note is the purchase price dropped below the initial asking price and made this an easy choice.

I bought this case for my pixel 3a (different model) but same type of case. This new one for the pixel 4a has small improvements. I immediately noticed they put small grips on the side of the phone. Seems like the cutouts and quality are a touch better even though it was already good. I chose this case to protect my phone while not being too bulky and outrageous, hopefully it is enough. I love the quality and cost of this case. I recommend this case if you want additional grip for your phone, even though the 4a is plastic, it's still very slippery. Buttons are still satisfying and easy to click Cutouts are a good size for the speakers, fingerprint, camera, etc. Fitment is perfect and snug. My only slight gripe is it makes it just a tad harder to use gestures because you can potentially slide into the lip of the case. But I'd rather make that sacrifice for screen protection. The case over a long time will also leave imprints on the back of your phone, again I don't really care about it though. It can be wiped off.

Fits the phone perfectly, feels sturdy but not too heavy. Some subtle texture grip on the sides. Just what I needed!

I have dropped this cell phone more times that I thought that I ever would. A few times as I got out of the car. A few times when reaching to pull something out of the same jacket pocket that my phone was also in. Each time, and the height was probably 3 - 4 feet above ground, the cell phone was SAVED by this cover!! It protected my phone even when fell face down on pavement. It is amazing how well it has literally saved my phone from having a broken screen. I will always buy this brand whenever I get a new phone. It is not a bulky cover at all, either! It is surprisingly thin really. It fell on its side too---and not a bit of damage. Trust this brand. Well, I bought it about three years ago, 2021, for my new Pixel 4,---- and I keep thanking my self for having bought this brand. Just last week, my phone fell out of my jacket-the one with a shallow side pocket-- at the store. I never even heard it hit the floor--the other customer and employee had to point it out to me that my phone fell onto the floor. I had no idea and would have walked out none the wiser if it was not for those other nice people telling me. Wow! I made a mental note to go back home and put in my review of this cover even though it was three years a go when I bought from Amazon because I saw again how well it saved my phone. So, if they still have the same quality---trust me--you will NOT be sorry to purchase this brand.

This case has been amazing. I've dropped my phone on concrete floors mana many times and taken it to beach dozens of times too. It's been great! Especially for the price. About 5 yrs of use and the volume button pieces fell off, but that's a great run for slightly stiff plastic.

Insgesamt gibt die Hülle den Eindruck, als wäre dies das werkseitge Design des Smartphones. Lediglich an den Buchsenanschlüssen kann man erkennen, dass durch die Erhöhung des Rahmens eine zusätzliche Hülle angebracht ist.

It's a phone case, it has a very simple job to do and it did that well. It fits the Pixel 4a well and feels well made, as I would expect from Spigen.

I am really impressed with this case! It looks great and classy, simple and tasteful design and the quality is excellent! It has a perfect fit, feels great and secure in hand. It looks like a more expensive case. The price is surprisingly low. And the fact that it's NOT made in China, is an important bonus and an advantage to consider when comparing with others. Edit: after having this case for over 3 years, I noticed it has stretched and the phone slides around inside the case and in the process, it's scuffing the back of the phone. I will think twice about getting a similar case. I reduce star rating to 4.

Cover di alta qualità, protegge in maniera ottimale sia la scocca del telefono che lo schermo, avendo i bordi leggermente rialzati. Ottimo anche il disegno con elementi anti-scivolo che consentono una presa sicura del telefono, anche con mani bagnate o sporche (es. quando si lavora in cantiere). Sicuramente la prossima cover sarà della Spigen.
