Organic Aloe Vera Juice – Inner Fillet, 16 fl oz

****PLEASE NOTE: I'm not a doctor but I am a long time researcher due to health issues. I encourage everyone to only consume aloe juice that is labeled "Inner Fillet"! Not the aloe that is labeled "Whole Leaf" - at least not much- because it is said to possibly cause damage to your colon! Obviously do your own research.**** The flavor of this stuff is like what I imagine rocket fuel would taste like, lol. So strong and unpleasant. HOWEVER, it works so well that I drink it anyway! I've dealt with gastritis and reflux, and inner fillet aloe helps a ton as it literally has healing properties. (I sometimes mix in licorice root/DGL powder and chug a few oz. at a time. Slippery elm is also a great addition to the regimen.) Anyway, I highly recommend this brand. I discovered I can get it at my local health foods store so I buy two large inner fillet aloe bottles at a time; it's actually much cheaper in the store than Amazon! I can get a bottle twice the size for half the price. (Located in Midwest.)

My cousin recommended this. She's had her own health journey with rosacea and my aunt has battled gurd. She swore this helped them both. I bought this for myself and for my mom, since her stomach needs help settling at different times, and I'm always looking for ways to improve. I opened the jar to take a swig, based on the suggested dose of two tablespoons, and I was surprised to find that it most definitely has a taste. I was thinking it might be a mild flavor like coconut water, but it's not. More like apple cider vinegar!??! I'll have to get used to it and/or consider what to mix it with. That being said I am excited to see what I start to notice, and the quality seems fantastic. The bottle comes in a leak-proof packaging for anyone worried about tampering or spillage. Any suggestions for what to mix it with would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to think twice if you are buying this for your GERD symptoms cause this has lemon juice in it, not pure aloe

This product offering is deceptive. When I ordered it, it showed a label stating it was preservative-free. What I received, and what the icon shows that I am reviewing, is not preservative free. I purchased this item in this quantity specifically because this stated it was preservative-free. As I am looking on the reviews, some people received the preservative-free version, some did not. Apparently the seller is using them interchangeably, which is concerning. It contains 2 acids - potassium sorbate and citric acid. Presumably, it is only 1%, as the bottle states it is "99% aloe juice". Whether that is by weight or by volume, I do not know. Depending on what you want to use it for, it may not be an issue for you. I planned to use it both internally and topically. The taste of it is somewhat sour, and it gives me mild heartburn for a while after I drink it, but I found I am able to take it in a smoothie, particularly if there are alkali vegetables in it. I cannot use it on my face, as my skin reacts to it. However, I have found good results with using it in my hair as a rinse. That is the only reason I haven't returned it. I find it leaves my hair soft and manageable without having to add any chemical-laden hair products. The acid probably helps in this regard, kind of like an apple cider vinegar rinse. I put it in a travel spray bottle and keep it in the shower. That way I only have a little bit out at a time, as it is supposed to stay refrigerated (why, if it has preservatives, I don't know). I will not be using this on sunburns as I had planned due to the acidity. If preservative-free doesn't matter to you, go for it. If it does, you're better off buying it somewhere else that you can be sure what product you are getting. If you just want something to treat minor burns, I would advise just buying an aloe plant. It restocks itself. :)
