Solid 20A extension cord. No complaints besides I wish it was easier to decipher the sounds of when it's locked vs when it is loose still. Great length, mounting, retracting, and swivel functionality. Easy to use and seems durable but only been a year.

Looked for a kit like this to increase options in my shop instead of running cords across the floor. Price shopped local stores and online, best size for the $$ without going to unknown brands

Love the design. Easy to install, mounting bracket can be removed from the housing, installed on garage ceiling, the reattached to the housing. Cord seems to be of good construction. Would rather give this item 4.5 stars because I often have difficulty getting the cord to stay put after I have pulled it out to my desired length. Seems like it could be user error, but I feel like there are certain intervals you have to be at to get it to engage the brake. But for the money I really like this product. I paid ~$95 April 2021.

This reel appears to be decent quality. I got sick of constantly hunting down, un-spooling and then rewinding extension cords. I also wanted a cord with 12 ga. wire and at least 50 feet long. It appears to feed and retract the cord very nicely. It works every bit as well as my "Airzilla" air hose reel next to it. The "self-leveling" system prevents cord jams by automatically spooling the cord left and right as it rewinds. Works slick! Mounting: Do not mount this unit using drywall anchors, it will not hold up. I used 2-1/2" long 1/4" lag screws with washers under the head directly into a stud behind the drywall. It's impossible to get a direct shot to drive in the lag screws with an impact with the design of this unit, so I removed the two bolts holding the pivot-pins (see photo #3), pulled out the pins top and bottom and removed the bracket. Do not remove any other screws on this unit. Note that these two screws do NOT have captive nuts, so don't lose the tiny nuts. After mounting the bracket, I reinstalled the top and bottom pins and reinstalled the two bolts that hold the pins in place. You may want to mark the correct orientation of the through-holes directly on the pins (I used a paint-pen) so that you can line-up the bolts. I did "unspool" most of the cord to make the unit lighter and easier to handle as I was working up on a ladder. Installation took all of maybe 10 minutes. It's not really a big deal to mount. I do have a few minor complaints: The triple-plug "power-on" indicator light is extremely dim and hard to see. The plug-slots are very tight, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it takes a fair bit of force to insert and remove plugs (with my old, arthritic hands) . No mounting hardware (or any mounting instructions) were included with this unit. At this price-point, hardware is expected. Although it doesn't figure into this review, the box arrived fairly shredded (see photo #2). The reel itself was undamaged. Overall, I am pleased with this unit. I will update this review if I have any problems with this cord reel.

Love this but the locking mechanism doesn't always work like it should. I have to pull about 20 feet out and then slowly let the cord back in to engage the lock. If that worked perfectly, I would give an enthusiastic 5 stars. The lighted end of the cord is great, the cord itself is great. The installation was a little complicated but once it's up, it's not going anywhere. Just make sure you get the bolts into wood. But other than a few, non-deal breaker problems, this is a great addition to the garage work shop.

I've used this for a few months now and it's awesome. I bought this over the cheaper big box brands because the reviews consistently said they fail after a while. This thing is solid and feels like it can withstand much more than I will ever do to it. The triple tap outlet is sturdy. Easy to install - Some reviewers said that you don't need to remove the bracket to install it but I wanted to use some large washers that would not clear the angle without removing the bracket. It took about 2 minutes. It's obviously designed to remove the bracket easily even if it's mounted in an awkward place. Strong wheel and good locking mechanism - I can walk the cord out 40 feet and still easily get the wheel lock to catch. The retraction is strong and it's a good idea to hold on to the cord instead of letting it whip around on it's way back into the case. The power indicator light in the plug is very handy but it's a little dim in the sunlight.

It appears to be made with high quality materials.

Great addition to my shop. I was so sick of unrolling and rolling up cords. If anyone needs an extension cord I have 37.

Works great and keeps cord nice and organized when not in use.

Handy tool for the garage. So far it has lasted, everything still works. Very pleased.
