OK content, terrible print quality

I bought this to make sure Amiga OS content continues to get supported and get made even in the year 2020. So I'm happy to buy it at almost any price. But, the print quality of this book was awful. The paper is like sandpaper, and had weird chemical stain blotches on many of the pages. The book feels like it was printed in 1990 and might fall apart at any time. Frankly I'd rather just pay for an ebook version. As for the content, it's as good as or better than any that's been written since the great Guru book by Ralph Babel, covering all the basics, and it's up to date with the tools that are available now rather than say, SAS/C. But there was never a book written to cover OS3 and up, and this isn't it either so I hope he does a volume 2 covering that and maybe a volume 3 on OS4 as well. It seems strange to write a new book in 2019, and cover material that is already well served by the SDK content and old ROM kernel manuals, rather than spend the effort on topics that have never been covered before.

The best modern style distelled guide to the AmigaOS API

This book is a very practical guide to the AmigaOS API. No matter if you're a returning developer or a newcomer, the book is structured so that you can experiment and build your own blocks to develop system friendly applications. As the AmigaOS used the Motorola 68000 series CPU, the book also briefly introduces you to the main ASM fundamentals, but then it lets you use ASM or C according to your preference. As the incudes and autodocs can be cryptic, this book is a blessing when explaining the various parameters and structures. In short, whether you're planning to retro-code or code for the upcoming A500 mini, this book is a must have for operating system friendly programming on the Amiga.

There is nothing wrong with the paper or print quality of this book

Ignore the review questioning the paper and print quality of this book as it is, quite frankly, nonsense. As an almost novice/beginner to the Amiga, this text is exactly what I was looking for, and at £5(Feb 2022), what is not to like?

As it says

Pretty good reference guide to programming on the Amiga, a lot of this is freely available but its great to have it all in one place and hard to knock another still supporting Amiga, look forward to any follow up that may come
