Gonex Compression Packing Cubes for Travel, Mesh Bags Luggage Organizers

The photo I provided is of the largest cube that comes in the set. I fit TEN pairs of jeans in there! The other cubes get smaller in size from this one. There's 2 sized a little smaller than this big one in the photo that were perfect for all my shirts, shorts and dresses and then 2 much smaller ones that I used for socks and underwear. I brought 3 dresses, 4 pairs of shorts and about 20 shirts on my trip to give you an idea of how much I fit in those 2 bags and the one I used for underwear held 20 with room for more. I only packed about 5 pairs of socks as I wore sandals most of my trip so that little bag had tons of room left for more stuff. The set also comes with a laundry/shoe bag. I used it for my dirty laundry as I have other shoe bags I used, but it could be for either and is quite roomy. Combined all the cubes held all my clothes for a 2 week trip and kept everything so nicely organized and left my luggage with so much more room for shoes and other items I needed. Typically when I travel I end up having to pack and repack multiple times to make everything fit, but having these cubes made it so much easier and I fit a lot more than usual. It was nice to know exactly where everything was during my trip as well, rather than pulling everything out of the luggage to find the one item I wanted. I visit multiple destinations on a trip so am never in one place for long where I would unpack my suitcase, and these bags made it so easy to just grab what I needed quickly without making a mess out of the rest of my luggae. They are made really well and the zippers are strong and really hold up to being packed full as possible. I stuffed them with a lot and thought there would be no way they were going to compress without ripping or breaking a zipper, but they all did perfectly! Also, despite how much I crammed into each one I never needed an iron on my trip! My clothes stayed amazingly wrinkle free. I would definitely recommend!

Love, love, love these packing cubes. I love them so much I have three sets of my own, and highly recommend them to everyone I know who travels. I am a true believer in the Gonex brand. Unlike my travel companion who hates cubes and can never find anything in her suitcase, I am a true believer in cubes. With a cube, my stuff isn't rattling around in my bags, and I don't need to paw through everything to find what I want. Everything is very organized, and I can pack and unpack in a flash - after all, I never want to keep that hard won vacation waiting any longer than absolutely necessary). What makes these cubes special (and I have had others, all of which have gone to Goodwill at this point): the mesh top allows me to see enough of what is inside the cube that I don't need to guess, the cubes compress very nicely, and the zippers have all held up to A LOT of abuse over my many trips.

These budget compression packing cubes are a good deal when on sale, and Gonex quality is fine, but they are best as organizers -- the space they save is marginal compared to the weight and structure that they add (see below). This is especially true for the larger size cubes. Why? Because they "compress" at the edges a lot more than at the middle, making it hard to achieve actual space savings. If you use the smallest sizes: (M, S, XS), you get the most benefit from compression. I measured volume and weight savings by packing the smallest size cubes with "fluffy" items like polar fleece pullovers and thick wool socks. The result for those items was a 17% reduction in volume and a 10% increase in weight. That's the tradeoff for the most "compressible" items. Then, separately, I tried packing about 25 pounds of clothes, shoes, and toiletries into a medium-size (60 liter) duffel bag -- once without packing cubes, and once with the help of 6 of these cubes. The cubes collectively added more than a pound to the weight of the bag, but more importantly, despite the compression, it was easier to fit everything in WITHOUT the packing cubes. Why? Because without the cubes, I can fold things flatter, and pack things more easily into every corner of the duffel. That doesn't mean they are worthless. If you have an itinerary where you are moving around a lot and living out of your bag, these cubes can help you know where things are and stay organized. But if you are going someplace where you plan to just empty your bag once you get there, I think these are more of a hindrance than a help.

It's impressive how much we can fit into each cube, especially his bulkier items like jackets and sneakers, and then compress them down to fit snugly in his luggage bag. This has allowed him to carry all he needs without having to send more bags due to space constraints. The assortment of cube sizes is ideal for his varied items. The larger cubes accommodate his gym clothing, sweater, and jacket, while the smaller ones are perfect for shirts, pants, and socks . The mesh tops are particularly useful, making it easy for him to see where everything is at a glance and helping keep his clothes fresh. These packing cubes have also instilled in him a sense of responsibility and organization. He takes pride in packing his bag now, knowing exactly where each item should go. It's been a great way to teach him about managing his belongings and making his weekly transitions smoother. He also loves the blue! These are a game changer. They keep his luggage organized, make packing and unpacking simple, and are durable enough. I highly recommend them for children’s luggage.

These Gonex Compression Packing Cubes are great! I've used packing cubes for a long time to keep everything organized in my carry-on, but this is my first time to use compression cubes. I used the large, one medium and one small cube to pack my carry on for an 8-day trip. I was able to fit so much in the cubes and then compress them so there was still room in my 21-in carry-on. I packed a few additional cubes empty to use in the hotel to organize. I took everything I needed for 8 days in my 21-in carry-on and one under the seat roller and I did it easily with room to spare in both carry-ons! The zippers worked smoothly and the cubes seem very well made with quality materials. Highly recommend!

This Compression Packing Cubes set is a total success! It works super well for organizing clothes and saving space in the suitcase. The zippers are sturdy, the material feels durable, and the compression really makes a difference when packing. These use generic cheap zippers from Gonex brand. That is how they saved money and compromise on quality. Don't ever purchase anything with zippers that are not from YKK (look up both brand names on the internet and you will find out why). UPDATE: The seller proactively reached out to me to offer a full refund. They did not ask me to change the review. I think that is a great customer service. Also, for the price (I paid about $20 on sale) these are not bad if you don't try to use the compression zippers. Those can very easily catch the thin material, which will happen frequently when you try to compress the contents of the bags which, by design, will result in the bag material being pressed against from the inside.

Found these really useful when packing. Having everything in one place make life easier when traveling. It mean that I know where to find items on arrival without having to look though the entire suitcase. I also used them for storage when not travel. (Shout out for the make up bag) its a little TARDIS). It holds a lot of make up products

These compression packing cubes are excellent!! Light weight & easy openings with expandable sides. I used them this summer on our trip & it kept everything organized and compact. There are so many cubes & all different sizes. Unpacking was a breeze, knowing that everything had its own space & easy to find things. I used one for our medications & found it so much easier having it all in the one bag. Would definitely buy more of these!
