South Park: Season 13

Great price all discs work. F word episode the best

I've been a fan of south park since it started, and i already had seasons 1-12 on dvd, and i was noticing the humour was going a little downhill, it was still really funny, but a fair few of the episodes for me where just falling a little flat and not holding my attention quite as much as most of the earlier seasons, but they all had some amazingly funny episodes. So when buying season 13, i was a little worried to see how far further it would drop in terms of how funny it is (keeping in mind this is my own opinion, i know there are people out there who find the show just as great as its always been, and some even hate the newer seasons), but to my suprise, this season was nothing short of amazing.. I think i only remember 1 episode not quite living up to the other 13 episodes, but even then it was still really really funny. If your someone who hasnt been enjoying the newer seasons, i highly recommend you purchase season 13, it may just remind you why you loved south park to begin with!

I LOVE this season. I bought it new for $9.99 when Amazon had it on sale. I love this season it has so many good episodes. I love Dead Celebrities & Butters Bottom Bitch. Let me first say I am a major die hard obsessed Michael Jackson fanatic. I have a shrine to MJ in my living room. I love Dead Celebrities. Before the second half of season 13 aired I just knew they were going to make an episode about MJ's death. I had seen all of South Park before season 13 so I have figured out Matt & Trey's writing style. Sure enough they made half of Dead Celebrities about MJ. I also loved Butters Bottom Bitch. I love this episode so much since Butters didn't act like himself in that episode. I love the finale Pee. Cartman is such a racist. I love his song what happened to my water park. I felt so sorry for Kyle in this episode. I feel the same way Kyle does about pee.

I've been a huge South Park fan since the very begining. I have every South Park season and they're all funny. Sure there's a couple of episodes that ain't as funny as others, but overall great. I purchased the 13th season of South Park on blu-ray and the video looked awesome. My only complaint is the audio. I had to turn up the volume just a bit more than I normally do. Overall, season 13 on blu-ray is AWESOME. I laughed my behind off and that is all I need. My recommendation is if you ain't never seen South Park and are easily offended, DO NOT buy this. South Park is not your Saturday morning cartoons. For all those complaining, go eat some Fishsticks!!!!

I was seriously considering ending my South Park collection at 12, but when I saw this on Gold Box recommendation for 18 bux, I decided to get it. It was well worth continuing the collection at that price, and I was surprised that this season was a bit funnier than the last one. "Fish Sticks", "Butter's Bottom Biitch", and "WTF" were funny. Other episodes had funny parts to them like the way the alien talked in "Pinewood Derby". Some episodes, like "Whale Whores" start out funny, but fall into the trap of repeating the same joke until it isn't funny anymore. Just like last season, the plots are heavily reliant on movie plots, and while it can be funny to satirize movies, again they seem caught up in telling stories instead of jokes. "The Coon" had some funny parts to it, but it's almost like they are taking themselves seriously, which is kind of weird. Kind of like they wish they could make an action movie like Batman. South Park isn't very subtle in their message, and it can be a bit annoying at times. Whereas some shows might hint at something like Disney being evil, and get on with the jokes, South Park bombards you with the same message again and again. They even have the mouse give a big speech at the end about how stupid people are, just in case you missed it the first hundred times. I never liked the part at the end during any season, where it was time to learn a lesson, and the characters speak directly to you in case you are really dense. I appreciate that Matt and Trey have their own unique opinions, but the show assumes an air that their opinions are right, and that they have to prove it to you takes away from the comedy. I've read reviews about both this show and The Simpsons (another show I like a lot) where people bemoan how the series has long passed its heyday. I would disagree with this nostalgia, and argue that a season can still be good, and doesn't have to have a golden period. Still funny after all these years.

This blu-ray came untouched! I thought maybe because of the lower price it was blemished or scratched but it was in perfect condition. Blu-ray usually is more expensive. Will be buying more seasons. Great episodes on this one though. My husband is such a big fan. When he gets home from work, he puts this on play and watches the season over and over again. It never gets old for him. I have to say, at first I thought South Park was raunchy and tasteless, but after awhile, you actually laugh and get the jokes. I can say I honestly don't mind it at all now.

South Park is hilarious

I still remember the first time I heard about "South Park." My friend called me up laughing her head off, and trying to describe this hilarious new cartoon show where this one little boy "Kenny" gets killed in every episode. Well, being a mother of a pair of young teens, I couldn't see how this could be funny, but I watched it anyways because I knew my kids would hear about it from other kids at school. I was surprised by my reaction to the show! I was laughing out loud! IT WAS FUNNY! HILARIOUSLY FUNNY! After their dad and I talked about it, we decided that our boys should be able to watch this show too, so we all watched it as a family and it became a really serious vehicle for family discussions of the topics raised. This is the important part! YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS SHOW WITH THE KIDS SO YOU KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT LATER AND CAN PARTICIPATE IN THAT CONVERSATION. My two boys learned a lot of life lessons from seeing "South Park" and talking with us about it afterwards (sometimes even during). "South Park" will not turn kids into potty mouths, it will not "warp their fragile little minds," neither will it turn them into violent people. "South Park" is a marvelous vehicle for discussion. It brings up all sorts of subjects and topics that other programs run screaming from, and it does it in a humorous, thought-provoking way. This may not have been Trey Parker and Matt Stone's intention to begin with, but they must be aware of it by now. LOL Initially, the "bad" words were bleeped out, but in such a way you knew exactly what they were. But now, it's uncensored and it's hardly noticeable when the characters use them, probably because these words are already mainstream in our own culture and it seems pretty natural. It's really amazing that SP stays so fresh and current, but then WE give them a lot of material with the ridiculousness of our world and the silly and sometimes stupid things that happen all around us. The show is pure genius and continues to teach as well as entertain. And, for those young parents out there. . . any child from the second grade on up can watch this show WITH YOU to guide them. My two boys have both grown up to be good, responsible young men. It's all a matter of staying involved with them, not in the TV shows they watch. All South Park fans: you have to buy this set! If you aren't a fan, you're missing out on something that is shaping our society, so get the first season and start from there.

I have seen every episode probably 100 times and still bought the entire series because I love this show so much. its amazingly genius. I truly believe there are so many great life lessons in this show. If I had a kid I would most defiantly let them watch this. If you can get past the swearing there is a lot to learn from this show.

the dvds themselves are amazing! the dvd case was not. very fragile and has already broke. well actually it arrived broken. but the dvds are fine! thank you amazon for always having them in stock and shipping them to me so quickly!!
