They look the part but not quite as practical and a tad pricey
There's no doubt these are a statement piece but, with their unique aesthetics, comes some disadvantages. You do have to look a bit more and actually pay attention when sipping from them given the lip is uneven. You'll be surprised how much you sip drinks in the middle of conversation with others without actually realising it! With these you have to realise it a bit more than normal (look before every mouthful) or at least make sure you don't turn the glass in your hand and always drink from the same point. They are very sturdy and look like they will stand the test of time but I would expect that as they are a little on the expensive side. Overall a great purchase but they can't quite get 5 stars from me as you do lose some of the functionality with the stand out design. There's probably quite a good reason why I've never seen anything similar being used in the hospitality industry or fancy restaurants. Probably best for home use only in small groups...and before getting too tipsy!
