Windows shade curtain rods work great
Super easy to install. Hardware & screws included. Flexible width & slides easily in the curtain. Once all together hidden behind the curtain!

Found rod for side panel front door
I bent the rod by accident, forcing a curtain to fit that was cut little short, that's what you get these days. Now, old rod was purchased about 19 years ago. On amazon, there it was, same rod, good quality, price was right, arrived promptly.

These rods do the job for a great price
Since these completely disappear after putting the curtains on them, there's not much to be concerned about. I will say some of the edges are a bit sharp, so be careful when handling them so you don't tear the curtains. I installed these with ez-pass style velcro strips so they go on and come off easily when needed.

Great For Side Window Curtain
Great for putting up a side window curtain. Supporting brackets and rods are well made.

I would have returned the sash rods if my husband did not have the tools to cut the rod down.
The sash did its job, but only after 6 inches had to be sawed off! The packaging was clearly labelled 8-12 inches with the Kirsch branding. Other reviews have mentioned this problem. I purchased this brand 22 years ago for a previous project and thought maybe by now the rough ends of the rods would not be so rough as to snag the material as one puts the rod through a pocket hole. That is not the case. I put tape on the ends and removed it after the rod was put through.

Perfect size for side light windows
These curtain rods are the perfect fit for side light windows on entry doors. My sidelights were only 10 inches wide and 40 inches long and these expand in that range of width. Best for curtains that slide directly on the rod and not for ring type that would need more space under the rod, which these don’t provide.

Harder than it should have been...
Ordered these after trialing a couple of sets of magnetic curtain rods for my sidelight, both of which would not hold a blackout panel or sheer due to either the weight of the fabric or two ankle-biter Yorkies that pawed out them when looking outside. No solutions at my local hardware stores in this size, so I came to Amazon. Shipping on these was slow by Amazon standards, but they did arrive in just under a week. No complaints as the cost was low. Opened the package to find the expandable rods, which like other reviewers noted, DO have rough edges, so these appear to be cut from longer lengths by the seller. I had to file these to prevent the metal edges/burrs from snagging and damaging the curtains when feeding them through the fabric sleeves during fitting. Installation SHOULD have been straightforward, however the package only included 7 screws, whereas 8 were needed to complete the install (2 screws for each of the 4 mounting brackets). This necessitated a trip to the hardware store to match up screws, so I lost an hour of my time on that. Overall, I would say that quality control on these is pretty non-existent, and I would not expect the install to be without issues in all situations. Once installed, they seem like they will do the job OK, but time will tell. So, while I did get them up and in-place (with some elbow grease and a trip to Lowe's), I would not buy these again. I suspect there are other options on Amazon that wouldn't lead to the headaches I had.
