I see someone here stated its not different than types used for humans but can anyone (maybe a doctor) be more specific as to y its safe for humans?

I am a family physician. For humans, the liquid called Monsel solution is used to stop bleeding after skin and cervical (uterus) biopsies. Same active ingredient—ferric subsulfate. The gel product for animals also contains benzocaine to help lessen pain and itching. I do not Know about the inactive ingredients in the products. The FDA has different criteria for animal versus human safety in the manufacturing process, so what might be sold for your dog Fido might not be safe for your brother Fred.

Is there an expiry date? Or it can just last u forever?

Mine has an expiration date on the bottom of the plastic container (not on the box). I'm guessing I bought mine last winter. Lol Expiration date is 2/17. That would be 3 years on the one I bought. The last time I bought Kwik Stop, I kept it for 12+ years. It worked well when I had it for 10 years. But, I have no idea if they have modified the formula (ingredients). Best of luck. :)

How is this different then Styptic for Humans? Thanks! 

It isn't different. For humans usually a pencil stick - for small shaving nicks. For animals often a larger wound so a powder is more convenient.

I'm assuming yes. I didn't cut too far on my dog's nails, but he did scratch my daughter trying to escape the ordeal, and it worked well on her where he drew a little blood!
