Compatible with my HD Sportster from 2005
Perfect product for replace the TSM or TSSM on my Sportster from 2005. The features of this turn signal module are simply excellent. It work perfekt. I rod alreadey over 3000 Km and its absolut great everywhere. On highway, city, smal roads. Find connectors you need on Amazon. If you fit the installation like me you must make the connector you fit on the turn signal modul little bit smaller. See the last photo. I connect the start relay contact to earth contact in the new connector. Then I moved the connectors for sirene and data link. I modified the plastic plate a litle bit for fit the turnsignal module and the new connector. I stabilised the turn signal module on the side so it dont fall on the side with a wood home made part and fit it on the plate with a screw for wood. I re-located the other connector from it's original place from under the battery to front side of the battery holder. I unscrew the battery holder and lift upp it a bit to clear that. Then I just connect it all and protected with litle ruber. If you make a clean work it work perfect. I am very satisfied. Buy again? Yes! Absolutely.

This thing is exactly what I needed for my project!
The SDC 01501 is advertised primarily as a device to add self-canceling turn signals to a motorcycle. I'm building a Factory Five Cobra replica and wanted to add self-canceling turn signals. My car already had turn signals, but they were manually operated via a toggle switch. It was very easy to forget to turn off the turn signals after completing a turn. The SDC module fixed that. In my case, I was able to use all the existing wiring in the car. I just needed to replace my toggle switch with a pair of momentary switches and the SDC module. I also had to remove the car's turn signal flasher from the fuse block and replace it with a jumper wire. I added a pair of blocking diodes to the SDC output wires just to be sure I wouldn't get any back feeding. I don't know if they were necessary, but they are cheap and easy to put in when installing the module. One thing that wasn't clear was that Signal Dynamics recommends a +12v switched power source for the SDC module due to a very slight power draw which could cause it to drain your battery over a long period of storage or non-use of the vehicle. If you follow their advice, the hazard signal function will only work when the key is in the on position. I solved this by leaving my existing hazard circuit in place. I can use the SDC hazard function as long as I'm in the car; say for waiting for a passenger or other short stop. I can also use the regular hazard system if I need to exit the car and don't want to leave the key on.

Easy to install and works perfectly
This module just plain works. The wiring is straightforward and simple to hook up. Besides that, it is small waterproof package. What a joy it is to find something so well made, made in the USA, and sold for a reasonable price. I used this to retrofit signals on an off-road utility vehicle for street use. I combined the L-R momentary switches into a single rocker. I also then wanted a separate hazard switch, so simply wired that into both signal wires through diodes. The diodes are necessary to keep the Left or Right switch from feeding back to the other direction signal. The schematic and circuit is quite simple, but works great. I was going to design and build a circuit to do almost exactly what this module does, but I am sure glad I found this before spending hours making my own. This is cleaner, simpler, and higher quality than anything I could have hacked together.

i crimped the module ground and ground to the lights together and grounded them to frame so they had the same potential and turn signals work fine..
Well my problem started when right side turn signals quit working. So i traced the wiring out and performed several tests which led me to believe it was the turn signal module, so i ordered this module and since thrre was no plug end on it i used wire nuts for temporary to test it out, well didnt fix my problem however i just rewired my front and rear lights, i crimped the module ground and ground to the lights together and grounded them to frame so they had the same potential and turn signals work fine....

Great unit.
Using this unit and a set of whips with turn signal inputs. This made a great way of putting turn signal on my sxs to make it street legal. 1 second push you get 10 flashes. 2 second push you get 30 flashes. 3 second push you get 75 flashes. I forgot to say that you also need a momentary SPDT switch.

Great upgrade for older motorcycle flashers
Good upgrade for any bike that does not have canceling turn signals. I re-wired my 76 shovel head, which someone had taken the turn signals off. I install the factory flash unit, which only flashes the turn signals as long as you continue to press the switch. I installed this unit in place of the factory flash unit. Easy install and works perfectly. Has three flash time modes plus hazard flash mode. My only wish is for a mode that allows you to initiate the turn signal, then when you hit the switch again, it cancels the flash (no time function). This would make the unit truly versatile.

Easy to install
I purchased this turn signal cancel module for my 1997 Softail project I am working on. The wire coloring was exactly like the one that was on the bike already so that helped with the installation process. I did verify all the wiring just to make sure though. Product has worked great so far but I have only taken it out on the road a few times for short rides as I am still not 100% finished with my project. I would recommend this for anyone else needing a self-cancelling turn signal module for their project.

If I had read more carefully before ordering I would have realized that it did not work on Metric bikes.
