VR Link Cable with Fast Charging
I recently got my hands on the VR Link Cable, and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. Not only does it function flawlessly as a VR link cable, but it also doubles up as a charger, supporting fast charging. The thick and robust build of the cable instills confidence in its durability, and I've had no issues with it so far. Setting it up was a breeze, and it seamlessly connects my VR headset to my device without any lag or interruptions. Whether I'm immersed in virtual reality gaming or simply charging my device, this cable delivers consistently reliable performance. If you're in the market for a versatile and reliable VR link cable with fast charging capabilities, look no further. This cable has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quality VR accessory.

Great product
Very cheap cable, however works very well for a replacement of the OEM meta link cable. I accidentally stepped on it and snapped the connector, however it still works!! On my computer I get 3.9 gbps which is way faster than I’ll ever need.

Definitely worth it if you need a cable to charge your Quest 2
I have an adaptive 18watt wall charger that I pair with this cable. I had to do a factory reset on my Quest 2 to make it charge right, because Meta, but I finally got it charging properly with this cable. I can actually sit and watch the charge level go up in the Oculus home menu. It even retains its charge over PCVR Airlink. I played for at least 5 hours the other day only to close Airlink and find that it was still at 93% charge. The cable is also pretty tough. I'm always rolling over it with my chair, but I've never had a problem with it. I know the ends of cables tend to be weak points, so I keep pressure off of the ports. I have my cable plugged into the headset and run it around the back and through the headstrap so the port never gets torqued. So I can't speak to how resilient the ends of the cable will be. The cable feels beefy as a whole, though. I tried one of those dual port PC link cables and it didn't seem great. I think a step up from just using this cable would be to add a C-type card with 18watt charging to my PC and plug it into that. Then I could probably play wired PCVR too and still keep a good charge.

Pretty much what others are saying
It works for a few months. I wrapped it up and didn't use it for a few weeks, came back and it just isn't working anymore. Tempted to buy the official cable at this point.

Works Great on Quest 2!
I just picked up an Oculus Quest 2 because I didn't have a Type C port on my computer. One thing to remember is you MUST have at least a 3.0 gen1/2 USB port on your rear motherboard I/O (for better data speeds compared to front I/O), otherwise you might run into bandwidth limitations. This cable works great as a Link cable, and is plenty long enough for all types of experiences! It's really thin so I'm worries about longevity and it would be a nice touch if Oculus would've included a mounting clip for the cable so there isn't any stress of the cable weighing down the port on the headset, but having a thinner cable is also useful when factoring the added weight on the front of your head for longer sessions. Considering the fact that it's less than half the price of the officially supported link cable, it works great! Charges quickly enough too, so while I'm tethered, I don't have to worry about the 2-3 hour battery life as much. That being said, due to the limits of the cable, I doubt visual fidelity will increase as Oculus optimizes the Link for PC VR experiences. It's limited by the generational limitation that this type of USB has, and the lesser data transfer rates compared to Type-C and/or the future standards of USB. But for what it is, it works. Definitely a great purchase and was cheaper than getting the Type-C to Type-C and a PCI card for a Type-C input.

Decent length cable, works as intended
After examining, there are a few kinks in the cable itself, but they don't pose a problem. Instructions said it'd be best to have the wire coming down from the ceiling to keep yourself from getting tangled? I just grabbed a couple thumb tacks and placed one on the wall at standing eye level above my pc, and the other on the wall that would be behind me near the center of my play area. This way the wire isn't going across the floor, but is above the headset level behind me and keeps me from getting tangled while playing.

Cheaper than the official link cable, still works just fine.
I had a crash course in all things usb trying to sort out my son's Oculus Quest 2 link. The official cable is usb-c to usb-c, which is the small rounded plug on both ends. His PC doesn't have a usb-c port, only usb-a, which is the old large familiar rectangular plug. The Quest 2 needs a usb 3 connection, which is the newer high speed variety. What I didn't realize was that not all usb cables are alike. I'm guessing the usb-3 cables contain more connections, and without these it just treats it as a lower speed usb-2 port. That's what I found with all my usb-c -> usb-a cables: the oculus software was reporting them as a usb 2 connection, despite being plugged into a usb 3 port. The cables I tried were primarily for charging use, though. This link cable supports the higher speed transmission that I needed in order to get pc software up and running in the Quest 2 headset. The connection wasn't the only issue for me. I was in contact with oculus support and they had me do a factory reset on the headset to get the link working properly. I'm not sure what this changed or how it fixed it, but it worked. Up until that point, I was beginning to suspect the 'unofficial' cable was the source of the problem, but no, just a software issue.

Doesn’t work well connecting vr to pc
Unfortunately my meta quest 2 says this wire doesn’t have a strong connection to my pc, you may need to find another wire if you want to connect your vr headset to your devices. Its slow at running anything and i have too good of a pc for that to be the issue

disconnected within 5 min and until it disconnected it was all shuddering missing frames had it plugged in for 5 min and realized my old cord was 100 times better don't waste your money also tested at 1.9 mbs
