Great Product
Hi I have tested this product twice before writing this review. Good eggs with decent hatch rate. This is a 6 gram vial of brine shrimp eggs as described and in the picture, it seems like a small amount but it is definitely a lot. This will feed my 5 tetras and baby bala shark for many months. It only comes with the eggs, you will need a few other things that aren't hard to find. Okay, Lets get started. The directions on the back tells you to use WAY too much brine shrimp eggs at once. Keep in mind if you do not feed the brine shrimp they will die within a couple days so you want to hatch as much as you would use in a day or two. I have done the math and lowered the measurements to 1 cup instead of 1 quart. The way I set up my hatchery is simple. You will need a glass jar. Inside you will put: 1 cup of Tap water or Tank water. (I used dechlorinated water from my fish tank.) 1 pinch of baking soda to buffer the pH of the water.(This will help improve the hatch rate of the eggs.) An air pump WITHOUT an airstone.(Use the end of the tubing and place it at the bottom of the jar.) 1/4 of a teaspoon of eggs. (Doesn't have to be exact, can be a bit more or less you would still get a good amount of brine shrimp) For the salt you will need 1.5 or 1 and a half teaspoon of [NON-IODIZED] kitchen salt, sea salt, or aquarium salt. (I used Non-Iodized Sea salt. These salts will increase hatch rate compared to [IODIZED] table salt). You want to keep the water at 80-85 degrees this will make them hatch faster. You might have to get creative here, You can try and find a way to get your hatchery secured at the very top of the water in your tank so your heater will do the job for you. Before you throw everything in the jar and set up your hatchery, I recommend you take your time by adding a pinch of baking soda to your water and letting it mix for a minute. Then you will add your 1/4 teaspoon of eggs and let the air pump mix the eggs around the jar. [Do not add the salt yet!] Let your eggs mix for atleast an hour before you add salt. Once everything is set up, you can leave it alone for 24 hrs. Once 24hrs is up you will definitely see live brine shrimp and they are ready to be cleaned and fed to your fish. I like to let my jar sit for a couple extra hours as this allows more eggs to hatch. This is the end of my super long review, to those who read it please let me know if it was helpful and have fun. Thanks!

Repopulated my Aqua Dragons tank!
I used these brine shrimp eggs to repopulate my Aqua Dragons tank. This product is so much cheaper and it contains more eggs than you’ll ever need. Both Sea Monkeys and Aqua Dragons are Brine Shrimp or Artemia Salina. I thought all my Aqua Dragons were dead but I kept aerating the water in my tank using the pipette anyway. And I added food once. To my surprise, a couple of weeks later, I noticed a young aqua dragon swimming by himself. These eggs are really very tiny so you only need no more than a level feeding spoon for the SM or AQ tanks. Depending on the temperature of the water, eggs will start hatching sooner the closer it is 78°F. So just be patient and don’t add anymore until at least 4 weeks have passed. It helps to use a magnifying lens to see the newly hatched babies. I mixed in the shrimp eggs with the existing water in my aqua dragons tank and they started hatching immediately. My tank is kept in a room that’s on the cool side most of winter so it took up to 3+ weeks for more eggs to hatch. The room gets quite hot in the Summer. It’s been around 4 weeks since I added these eggs to my tank and I have so many brine shrimp thriving together with their aqua dragon buddy. At least a pair have started mating. They’re all fed aqua Dragon food about once a week. I scatter the powder on the surface of the water only after I’m done aerating for the day. Except for feeding day, I squeeze bubbles out of the pipette to make the settled uneaten food to float in the water. This allows the brine shrimp to feed as they swim. Hold of on feeding if the water remains cloudy and resume when it’s clear again. I also use the plastic pipette to aerate the water at least once daily for about 5 minutes. I use the pipette to gently create bubbles close to the bottom, at the middle & close to the water’s surface. Also using it to stir the water gently to add more oxygen molecules. Store the remaining eggs in the bottle in a cool, dark & dry place away. I hope this review was helpful.

Great for repopulating an already established sea monkey tank!
I know these are supposed to be for fish buuuut my current colony of sea monkeys was dying out so i only had one male and one female left in the tank still going strong. Aimce my tank was already established i ordered these to try instead of the sea monkeys refill kits because they just seemed to not be doing great so i just needed to slightly repopulate it... I sprinkled just a sea monkey feeding spoons full of the eggs into the water the other night and i checked them today and its already filled with so many babies!! They hatched far quicker then the sea monkeys brand ones BUT the sea monkeys brand kit is very very good to get the tank established so its still good to use those with a brand new tank! These however seem to be doing great for an already established tank if you need it repopulated! I hope to see them grow and repopulate the tank more!

It has only been a day so I can't yet coment on the hatch rate, but there are already lots of baby brine shrimp. Update: It has just been over a week since I put the eggs into water. There are still more brine shrimp coming. While there were a lot within a day, there were even more over the next week. I'd say that this has a great hatch rate but instead of waiting for all of them to hatch as quite a few died not long after hatching, I'd recomend using something to pick up the swimming babies, like a turkey baster, a suction tank cleaner, or even an eye dropper to suck up the babies and move them to the fry tank. That way there will be room for the ones that have yet to hatch and you'll get more out of it, but that said, the amoung you get will still go a long way.

Not too sure what everyone else did wrong. I have a 1L empty pop bottle with 1L water, 2tbl aquarium salt and 1tsp eggs sitting in a betta tank with water at 82C. Airline with diffuser going in a hole in the pop lid, pump going. Eggs were hatched in less than 12 hours. You seriously don't need any fancy equipment.

Excellent product as always.

I dislike the price for the product. There is more waste than I expected. It is however one of the better priced eggs available.
