No, it does not. I love this blanket. Super soft.

How many people can share

What size are you asking about? If it's the 50x70 inch I'd say it works great for one average adult and perhaps two smaller children. But this comes in 60x80 and 90x90 and even 90x104 which is a king size blanket. SO having no idea how BIG you are I suggest you pull a blanket off your bed if you know the size and test out how well it covers the people as in the exact people you have in mind. If the blanket you test is too small then buy up. But of course the king size is the biggest it's sold. I'm guessing you want a large enough for two or a small family and of course then you'll want the queen 90x90 or even the 104x90 inch size. But how many can share depends on size of people not just blanket or throw size. My husband and I who are not large people he has his own 50 x 70 Inch throw and I have mine. I buy these blankets to use as blankets but more often as not for fabric. I make robes, fleece PJ's, Fancy robes, Jackets including hoodies, lounge pants, pillows and covers for outdoor bolsters even. So like I suggested grab a blanket off your existing bed knowing the size say twin , full, queen, king and that will give you a close idea of what size for your coverage. We other buyers can't guess your size or compare your size in mind with our own personal sizes. Hubby is 6 foot and very lean, I'm 5 foot and m/l size with clothing depending on how loose and I usually like loose.

Sorry to say, I don't know. I washed it by itself. I thought it might shed too. There was a lot of lint in my lint filter though
