A690HX Additional Handset - Silver/Black

Bought 'used - as new' as it was £10 cheaper than a new one. This was an addition to the set for his Man Cave, and now there are no excuses of "I didn't hear it!" Easy to integrate to the system and works fine. Best value for money I could find for this addition and it looks brand new though it wasn't in an original box. Oh dear - what a shame - not. If there are any issues going forward, I will add to this review later.

Nice looking telephone. There are very few non-BT telephones for proper VoIP connection to the router (without using a ‘phone socket) but this is one. Yay! States it works with most routers - but it doesn’t work with the Vodafone broadband router so if your broadband is with Vodafone, don’t buy this telephone as it won’t work ☹️

We had a set of Gigaset phones and needed an extra unit for the lounge. This phone arrived quickly and was really easy to set up and pair. So why not 5 stars? The other phones (C530A) has the ability to transfer settings between handsets and has a much more pleasant screen. This one doesn’t coordinate with the others, and the screen is monochromatic rather than colour. If we need another then I would buy one.

Works well and perfect

Bought this in January 23, not user friendly, patchy connection, registering it to base is hit and miss, now come up with “no base” now and then, and this mid August 23 morning, it doesn’t work at all anymore Draw your own conclusion…

We recently moved to VoIP for our land line, and bought another handset once we were happy. It was super-easy to get up and running. Just push the button on the base station until it flashes, select Register on the phone, then enter the system PIN. And just like that, all done! Extremely good range due to use of DECT over Bluetooth.

Does not work on broadband router talk

Fairly simple to use. A bit of fiddling around and you can switch of the weather ticker when on standby, and switch off backlight when on charge. Have 3 of these now. First unit seems to have reasonable battery life, surviving off charge for several days. Bought 2 more, but battery seems to go down quicker. Recent 1.5 hour call on one handset depleted fully charged battery. Last 2 units were supplied with 2 x 400 mAh batteries

J'ai acheté cet appareil supplémentaire. Il m'a fallu l'attendre un certain temps et quand il m'a été livré, cet appareil venu d'Angleterre m'a été fourni avec une prise anglaise donc inutilisable en France. Je l'ai renvoyé et il m'a fallu payer 17.25€ et encore trouvé un bureau de poste qui avait l'appareil pour effectuer l'opération.
