The authors consistently draw on the best research available, thus utilizing and discussing both functionalist and generative theoretical approaches. Each chapter includes a summary, suggestions for further reading, and exercises. As such this is the ideal book for both beginning students of linguistics, or anyone in a related discipline looking for a first introduction to morphology. Glad my professor chose this book. There are a lot out there, but this one is clear, well organized, and teaches things logically. Has good examples and various difficulties of questions, if I recall correctly. Been a while since I read it through.

Precisely explained, except the singagmatic/paradigmatic section. Also, the summary of each chapters at the very back of the book was really nice!

Very Readable Textbook
The specific copy that I received was in great condition as guaranteed at purchase. The textbook is very accessible and reads very well. I usually have difficulty digesting a lot of detail but everything from the typesetting to the content really makes me glad my professor chose to use this Morphology textbook over others.

Great Resource for an Introduction to Morphology
Great text. I purchased this book because I was having an issue understanding the lectures and required text from my graduate morphology course. This book has helped me to understand the theoretical components to the subject, as well as aid me with data analysis based on these theoretical perspectives.

Good book to gain overview of morphology
A very good book. Everything ist well divided and explained. Besides I finde it somehow amusing reading this book because the author always tries to go straight to the point.
