what is the burntime?

With a full tank of kerosene I get about 12 hours. It really depends on what fuel you use and how high you set the wick. Enjoy.

Is this a 'hot blast' or a 'cold blast' lantern?

This is a cold blast lantern. Hot blast lanterns have the tubing you see on the side continue all the way to the top to circulate fresh air and exhaust. Hot blast lanterns are better for indoors as the heat is more circulated rather than lost through exhaust through the chimney of a cold blast lantern. Both, still however use carbon monoxide and proper ventilation and precaution should be taken for both lanterns. The lantern pictured uses a cold blast system where fresh air is piped through the "arms" and up out of the chimney as well. These lanterns will produce heat up the top but the "arms" should not get hot, as the cold air circulates through them.

Delicate but works fine and looks very nice.

PROS: good look, careful workmanship, ease of use, e.g. you can easily remove the glass and wash it, functionality, gives off a lot of light and is easy to adjust. CONS: it is delicate, made of thin sheet metal and very thin glass, weighs only 340 g. it is painted with a delicate varnish that is easy to scratch and damage. Awful stickers, tightly stuck fortunately are easy to remove with lamp oil.

Seems like an amazing Lantern for the price.

I've just got the thing and got fuel/wicks for it today. Works very well with kerosene from my tests. I've read many reviews about how this thing is flimsy and it leaks over time. I knew this going in and was prepared to seal up the cracks and fix it myself, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. I filled the base to the fill line with Kerosene, and shook it around a bit after the wick had time to soak, but lot a drop leaked out of it. It also seems fairly tough and rigid. Now, it's definitely not SOLID metal, but it still seems to be well made, and feels fairly tough. I've also read reviews about the wick guide being of poor quality, but again, it seems fine just for me. Seems easy enough to use. I'll update my review if anything negative happens, but for a $22 lantern, you really can't ask for more. I'm loving this thing so far. Incredible.
