Just what I was looking for they’re very sturdy and long enough to serve food without falling down in serving pans

They are nice & sturdy and get the job done. They just need a way to lock them closed when not in use

First, they are not stainless because a magnet does want to stick, but does not quite make it, but it does pull towards these. So perhaps some sort of cheap pot metal. There is also no lock mechanism of any kind. They are quite light weight for their size. That being said, I love them and hope they don’t break on me. They do an excellent job at holding medium sized thick steaks (I have not tried large ones yet.) I love how balanced these feel and light weight when picking up the food, but also sturdy. I like how far away from the stove my hand is as well. Now, that being said, it does a great job at picking up small things like pieces of okra as well when you have to flip them, however, at that point it doesn’t feel so great on your wrist, In fact, if your wrists cramp, that will probably happen. The lack of locking mechanism does not bother me as they do not open up extra wide, but I can see how it might some. I would put a rubber band or something on the end if that’s an issue. I provably wouldn’t put these in the dishwasher; maybe I will one time to see what happens, but I fear they will start developing rust and/or that white crust. We’ll see. I will update.

I'm a chef and I've used these for years. They are strong, last years of abuse, and affordable.

Garbage! Bought 2 and one the spring is broken before even opening the package. The other the spring only has 1 tang on it so neither spring back open. Save your money and buy wuality, not this junk!

Excellent! Heavy duty with a good spring. Long tongs help keep me from getting burnt whilst flipping on the grill.
