I’m really pleased with these smart plugs. They were incredibly easy to set up and connect, and using them through the app is very straightforward. I also use them with Alexa and the integration works really well — they respond quickly to voice commands, which genuinely makes everyday routines a little easier. They feel good quality and have been completely reliable so far, with no connection or responsiveness issues. I bought the 4-pack and think it offers very good value for money, especially if you have several devices around the house that you want to control or schedule. We've been building up our 'smart stuff' at home in hope it would make life easier for me as I'm disabled. We use Google Nest and have smart lights and dockets with tapo. Originally I looked at reviews and price.... Tried a few different brands but I do like tapo the best I think. Easy interface which I've never had any issues setting up. I just plug in, go through the screens then it comes up on my Google Home. Can't tell you the difference this has made. 8 bought this pack of 4 as it worked out cheaper per socket. My bedside lamp is a smart bulb as I enjoy changing the colour of the lights but honestly... I prefer the sockets as they can be used on all sorts. I have tapo sockets on: Several sets of very low every led fairy lights... They're pretty.... Some next to my bed, some around plants etc. The sockets are behind a piano... Behind a sofa and behind a bookshelf so now I can use my phone as a remote control or use voice command. My bedroom fish tank so I can hance it on and off as I and the plants and fish want to. The socket is hard to reach and I like being able to turn it off last thing at night. Also at my bedside I have a fan and heated blanket as because of my condition I am sensitive to temperature, sensation and pain. If I get cold or hot it can be painful and weird... So! Now I can control these on my phone, or my voice or I can press the button on the tapo socket and switch on there. I can say "hey Google, turn the fan on (or off!) in 5 minutes". I can be on my way home and go on my phone and turn my heated bed blanket on. Totally feels like I'm on Startrek sometimes.... The other thing I like is that I can leave a room and without having to stand for ages switching stuff off (I'm a wheelchair user. Standing is the enemy). I can just say "hey hmgoogle, turn everything off" Brilliant. I've had no trouble with all of the tapo plug sockets I've had. I have not used the tapo timer function. Might try that when next away and come back.

Tapo smart plugs work as described and are reliable. Good price and no problems setting up, and it is easy too. I have bought them before and will use them again!

These Tapo TP11 plugs are a brilliant addition to any smart home setup. The real-time energy monitoring feature in the app is great—it makes it effortless to keep track of daily power usage and see exactly what connected appliances are drawing (as you can see in the screenshot). On top of that, the slim, compact design fits neatly into double sockets without blocking adjacent switches. Setup was seamless, connectivity is rock-solid, and scheduling works without a hitch. 5 stars all around for value and features!

These are even easier now to set up. Fire up the app tell it what sort of device you want to add and as long as it's plugged into mains, the app will find it and walk you thru process. Might seem obvious, but these plugs don't work well if area you are gonna use them is not well covered by your WiFi. I love them and have several now, so convenient.... Especially for the Christmas tree 🤣

I bought the 4 Tapo plugs because some of my Calex plugs had stopped working after 5 years of use. The design of the plugs is basic but functional with a button on the side which I didn’t need to use, and a small light on the front. The plugs do extend a couple of inches from the wall so be aware of what you plug into them. I have a big wall-wart with a couple of sockets and half a dozen usb points that I will need to replace as it’ll drag the Tapo out of the wall over time if I don’t. Normal plugs and extensions with cables should be fine but the block extensions will need to be used with caution (if at all). Having looked at the plugs, I was prepared for the usual fight to set them up… because that’s what it’s always like with these kind-of things. I scanned the QR code in the instructions booklet and installed the app. There was the usual faff of setting up and verifying an account, but once that had been done, I could begin. I plugged in the first plug and hit the ‘Add device’ button. The setup started with the (iPhone) app asking me to ‘enable permissions’, ‘enable Bluetooth’, ‘Choose Network’, etc. So far, so familiar! as this was identical to all of the other devices that I’ve setup in the past… but then something new, something different… something special. The developers of the app have added a simple ‘Save Network’ option which meant that after the first plug, I just held my phone next to the socket for a short while. I then chose an icon, tapped in a name for the device (eg: Television’, chose the name of the room (Living Room), clicked to check the firmware, and finally clicked to acknowledge that the setup was complete. The whole process of setting up 4 sockets literally took about 5 minutes. What a breath of fresh air! Using the app is incredibly easy: there is a simple column layout with panels for each device. Clicking/tapping on the top left icon (the one I chose during setup) in the panel opens the device page (where you can set timers and perform other actions). Clicking/tapping on the power icon on the top right of the panel switches the device on or off. When the device is on, the panel lights up a pale blue with the device icon a medium blue and the power icon a brighter blue. When the device is off, the panel returns to white with grey icons. The colour doesn’t appear to be customisable but maybe I just haven’t found the option to do so yet. Other sections of the app screen allow you to select favourite devices, or devices by room. I am very impressed by the UI/UX of this system and hope that the reliability of the plugs is just as good. Only time will tell! However, my initial feeling is that this is a quality product being sold for a reasonable price. I will definitely add more plugs and other devices over time.

The device works perfectly, based on my extensive experience, and is easy to use. However, be careful not to connect devices that exceed the current limit specified on the device.

Highly recommended smart plug for almost all appliance you have. Can easily time it or switch on/off by voice command. Another good thing is if you forgot to switch off or unplug any of your connected appliances, you can just switch off remotely via app.
