Every story has a dark side, and this story belongs to Cam, the brooding, bad-boy dark angel FALLEN readers love. High school can be hell. Cam knows what it’s like to be haunted. He’s spent more time in Hell than any angel ever should. And his freshest Hell is high school, where Lilith, the girl he can’t stop loving, is serving out a punishment for his crimes. Cam made a bet with Lucifer: he has fifteen days to convince the only girl who really matters to him to love him again. If he succeeds, Lilith will be allowed back into the world, and they can live their lives together. But if he fails . . . there’s a special place in Hell just for him. Tick-tock. Spread your wings and cry as bad boy dark angel Cam finally reveals his anguished heart in the epic FALLEN novel, UNFORGIVEN. Review: I love this book! A great addition to the Fallen saga! - I should have bought this book sooner! I really enjoyed this book! It's really nice to hear Cam's story with Lilith! To be honest I was a little worried I wouldn't like it as much as the other Fallen books because of some of the reviews I've read. So many people have complained about Lilith's personality and I understand why, but to me it's not that bad. I feel like it was because of Lucifer's curse on her is what made her miserable in the beginning. I really enjoyed the plot, but sometimes I missed Luce and Daniel. They are mentioned a lot in this book. I really like that, but I get why some people are annoyed with it because this isn't their story it's Cam's. I noticed that Cam is different in this book. Some of his characteristics are lost like his bad-boy personality. It's one of the biggest things I missed about him. Every few chapters there will be an interlude of flashbacks of Cam and Lilith when the first met in Canaan three thousand years ago. Cam never told Lilith he was a fallen angel and rejected Lilith because he was afraid she wouldn't accept him for who he truly is. Throughout the story I loved watching Lilith transform throughout the story and then remembering her past. Another thing I really liked is the band called Revenge she she starts with Cam and two other guys Jean Rah and Luis. They sign up for battle of the bands. If you listen to the book on audible you can listen to the bands actual songs! YES! There is an EP you can listen to! It's also available on iTunes! The ending was kind of left open which makes me a little sad, but it ended strongly and I am satisfied! To be honest I still love Daniel and Luce's story more, but Cam really deserved the spotlight for once! In Rapture Cam said "I never asked for a happy ending." He got his happy ending after all! I'm really sad that there are no more Fallen books to read! I can now say that I have read all of the Fallen books! Review: Great condition - I'm not often impressed with desertcart. In fact, lately, I've had more trouble than anything but this book showed up in great condition and I am happy with it. I also ordered 2 books from Walmart and the quality was awful. Would purchase from this seller again. The cover art is nice. Pages, spine- all in tact. Very pleased with this purchase.

Not What I Expected, But Still a Worthy Addition to Fallen Series
I know a lot of readers are extremely torn about whether or not to read this book. I was torn too at first because even though I always felt Cam got the short end of the stick in the last book, I also didn't understand why, after all this time, Lauren Kate was choosing now to revisit the Fallen world. But in the end, my love for Cam won out and I realized I had to read this book. While it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, I did enjoy the novel a lot and think fans of the series will too. The story was a pretty quick read and the pacing of the novel was good. There wasn't much action except at the end, but the conclusion made the book worthwhile. There were some things I couldn't get over, and because of that I had to reduce my rating by a star, but I do think this is a must-read for fans of the Fallen series. After finding out that Lilith, the mortal Cam fell in love with oh so long ago, is living in constant cycles of Hell, he literally makes a deal with the Devil and has 15 days to convince Lilith that he loves her and she loves him. You should be warned that this is not the same Cam we knows from the rest of the series. And to me, this is one of the downfalls of this novel. While Cam is still Cam in certain ways, and different in others, I just kept expecting a bit more from him. Obviously, his bad-boy, brooding ways weren't going to work in winning over Lilith, but he lost some of the characteristics that made me fall in love with his character in the beginning. I did greatly enjoy Lilith's character. She's tough, and I loved watching her transformation over the course of the story. However, the constant drama between her and Cam did become a bit tedious while reading, and I could have done without some of it. Regardless, I did love Lilith and Cam as a couple, especially when they first met because she wasn't swayed like the typical girls Cam surrounded himself with. She had a lot of sass and was feisty, and I loved it! One aspect of the story that I really enjoyed was the flashbacks to Cam and Lilith's life when they met the first time in Canaan. Lauren Kate shows exactly what happened between the characters and how their history shaped their characters in the present. The little interludes where we saw these flashbacks was a great way for the reader to learn more about Cam and Lilith's past, and I thought it was a unique way for Ms. Kate to go about revealing their story. Overall, the story wasn't exactly what I was expecting, and I did want more from Cam's story, but for the most part it was a very enjoyable read that I think will please most fans of the Fallen series. The ending is kind of left open, but it ends nicely, and it was nice for Cam to have his story all tied up. Happy reading :)

Lauren Kate does NOT disappoint! She writes such incredible back stories
I stumbled upon this book by pure serendipity! I devoured the first books in this series and had always wanted to know Cam's side of the story. Lauren Kate does NOT disappoint! She writes such incredible back stories! I read this book in two days! Which is good because my daughter is chomping at the bit to read it. This is the only series I can get her to read! I did have one hang-up though...I was a little thrown off that Cam's friends didn't join his quest sooner. I kept wondering where they were. There is one fantastic twist at the end that I won't explain...but it was pure genius! Love, love, love this author!

LIFE IS A JOURNEY, NOT A DESTINATION!!!!!
THE SIXTH MEMBER of this wonderfully uplifting series of YA Supernatural-themed romance novels fits right in with the theme of its more established siblings, and of course, easily matches their quality of story telling. Alert and seasoned fans of Ms Kate’s books may well have formulated their own ideas of how this book will end as they approach it’s twenty percent mark. I know I have, but I wont be revealing my theory here (*SPOILERS*). But this fact, and given a few moments of peace and quiet, UNFORGIVEN will give you the chance to meditate on the book’s plot and may well you immensely satisfied and with a not surprisingly strong feeling of contentment and gratitude to the author for writing it in the first place. But as they say in the classics, the point of life is the journey, and not the destination. And so it is with this book. Reading UNFORGIVEN will not only bless the reader with yet another huge dose of the universe’s most essential ingredient, but we will also get the chance to learn more of the past and back story of Cam, Lilith and, of course, Big Bad Lucifer. We also learn what it means to have music in your *soul*. The very structure of the book is what lends the story it’s body, so as you make progress you will see the wisdom in it’s sub plots. And they are highly entertaining, as well as bordering on compelling in their own right. One never really knows the intentions of Lucifer. Obviously, he is the ultimate temptation for those unlucky enough to find themselves in his sights, and so on the one hand, you can see him plotting the downfall of Cam, or Lilith, and yet on the other, he can be seen showing mercy (yes, I said mercy) by giving some assistance to one of these fore mentioned characters. The legendary school of hard knocks (SWORD AND CROSS) gets a mention here, but (thankfully) just a fleeting one. Even though i loved to hate that place back in book one, it’s mention in this novel may well lead the reader to unexpected feelings of excitement at vague promises of a return visit. But maybe not. The writing style in UNFORGIVEN is just as good as the others in this series. Humour in its own right does not get a role, but we should all by know that eternal love is not a laughing matter. Friendship is, though, and so at the rare times in the book when a troubled soul finds the strength to look past their own problems and see a like minded individual holding our for their own hero, feelings of relief and joy may well escape your own heart as you find yourself totally involved in the moment. We see the school based characters grow in a variety of ways, from facing up to bullies in the cafeteria, to seeing, recognising and correcting their flawed patterns of behaviour in front of the school staff, and even searching their own souls for answers to questions they had not even thought of. But I guess that is what this book - heck - this entire YA genre is all about. Seeing, reading, and experiencing some of life’s major questions in your own personal thinking space, and in your own time. And learning how to come up with your own answers. And so I award this awesome new release full marks. Not just for the build up and solution to the most awesome night of any the book’s central character’s lives, but the trials and tribulations they face and overcome as they get there. And that theorem I mentioned earlier about life not being a destination, but the journey you undertake in order to get there? Well, UNFORGIVEN by Lauren Kate has just proven it. Bye!
