SteelSeries Stratus Bluetooth Mobile Gaming Controller - Android, Windows, VR - 40+ Hour Battery Life - Supports Fortnite Mobile

This joystick is very, very nice, made of durable materials, really clicky and tactile buttons that have a fast response time. It's very comfortable in the hand, although it's quite hefty weight-wise since you have to add additional batteries inside of the joystick and it might make it a little tiring to hold for prolonged periods of time. The other thing that might not be as good is that it's Bluetooth connected and it requires your desktop to have an adapter or have Bluetooth integrated. The connection is kind of spotty at times, given the fact that the adapter is right next to me, but that might be because the adapter is not very high end. Also, the initial pairing is kind of slow, first off, you need to download the drivers from the SteelSeries website, then connect the device via Bluetooth to the PC, but for some reason it takes 1 + minute for the pair to work. The joystick doesn't 'remember' devices for some reason and when you connect it to your phone for example you have re-pair it with your PC once more because for some reason it doesn't connect automatically. Overall, it's a pretty good joystick if you don't have to switch devices often and you use it on your PC only, like I do, it's reliable, battery hasn't budget in 2 weeks of everyday usage which is amazing and it's a pretty reliable piece of electronics.

I bought this disregarding all the bad reviews which was a good call. Amazing controller. You just have to have a little patience to set it up. Do not use Bluetooth in the windows 10 settings, if you've already done that, go to Bluetooth settings and remove it. Now you have to go to the control panel and click on hardware and sound > devices and printers > add device (top left corner) it will find the "steel series stratus xl" controller and set it up, but this is not the device you need. (by the way you might need to hold down the connection button on the top for 5-10 seconds to reset it) After that device is installed right click it and remove it, then power off the stratus xl and back on again. It should automatically install "HID compliant game controller" this what you need to use or else you will not have any input. If it connects successfully you should have the first led light up on the controller (sometimes the second one). If you want to test input go to start and type joy.cpl and hit enter (there should be "steel series xinput controller" here) click properties and you should be able to test input. This wasn't something I discovered I found it on a reddit thread after hours of research. I will add some pictures so you can understand what I mean. Don't give up, it might take some fiddling around with. This is working on windows 10 build 1803 as of yet. All functionality of Steelseries engine is pretty much lost but it never worked for me anyways. Android works perfectly. **update** Amazon took down my review for my reddit link and pictures? I've used two of these controllers now, and in the end, if I could rate 0 stars, I would. I bought this because it's bluetooth and supposed to be gaming grade, and I needed a better controller for the PC for my racing games, and I wanted one that also worked on my galaxy s7 for the oculous headset. Well I managed to get maybe a half dozen uses from both controllers totaling about 2 hours all together per controller before they tore up beyond use. Both triggers and also the sticks quit functioning as they are supposed to and would go haywire as if I was mashing random buttons and triggers and moving the sticks around. I'm not one to abuse my electronics either. When it wasn't in use, it was kept turned off and placed under one of my monitors so it was out of the way all together. So for it to tear up so easily with so few uses, and on top of it, both controllers tore up in the exact same way, this was not just a random factory defect. The controller software for the PC is also horrible. It doesn't allow you to customize buttons or even preform a test of the buttons and ranges of motion for the triggers and sticks. It has a live test feature that shows you how everything reacts when you preform an action so you can change deadzones or alter what a button does, but it doesn't actually let you do anything. As such, I do not recommend anyone waste their money on these controllers. Sadly, I had heard from many how SteelSeries was such a great company and has high end gaming equipment, but this has only proven they manufacture garbage. The product works, a lot of people don't understand there are many variables to why the controller does not work. 1. Do not use a cheap Bluetooth USB adapter, those cause issues. 1.2 Download the SteelSeries Software to update the firmware, many think this is plug and play for pc, it is NOT. 2. There is a firmware update you need to perform on the controller to fix issues, you need a micro usb to usb cable to do this. 2.1 Once you update your firmware, make sure you disconnect the controller from Bluetooth and reconnect. 2.2. Once you do that, turn the controller off and on, using the power switch to reconnect. Edited: Works with the Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rocket League, Batman (All Games), and Steam Big Picture. Great controller, compared to my cheap eBay $15 XBox controller, the joysticks are very accurate, solid button feedback and solid built quality. No vibrations but honestly, it is a gimmick for me, and kills the battery. I don't play android games.

Manette de très bonne qualité et finition. Sans doute ma préférée pour le moment. Sur PC on doit cependant s'habituer au logiciel de configuration à télécharger qui est un peu particulier dans son fonctionnement, et qui ne remplace pas la calibration Windows. À l'heure de l'OTG sur mobiles et tablettes, pour un matériel multiplateforme possédant un port micro USB (planqué dans le réceptacle des piles), on pourra aussi un peu regretter l'absence de jeu possible via ce port. Mais ça manque surtout concernant le jeu sur PC (dans le cas où on n'a pas le Bluetooth sur cette machine, ou si on doit se passer d'une rotation des piles). Le port n'est utilisé que pour la mise à jour, contrairement à ce que certains tests ou description racontent. Après question au support, la fonctionnalité pourrait apparemment être rajouté un jour, sans que plus d'informations ne soient fournies. Toujours sur PC, on notera aussi pour quiconque n'est pas au courant que de légers dysfonctionnement peuvent survenir sus Windows 10, OS qui peut actuellement rencontrer quelques difficultés avec n'importe quel contrôleurs de jeu Bluetooth depuis une mise à jour censée résoudre les problèmes de la nouvelle et unique manette utilisant cette connexion chez Microsoft ... Pas de mise en cause de Steelseries donc, mais c'est toujours bon à savoir avant d'acheter, au lieu de faire la succession d'expériences ou de tests soi même et de finir sur un retour. Après mise à jour, Steelseries aillant cherché à résoudre les emmerdes, cette manette semble d'ailleurs rester l'une de celles fonctionnant toujours le mieux avec cette technologie. Mais concernant du sans fil, il vaut mieux pour le moment en rester à une manette avec un dongle radio fréquence ou assimilé.

No doubt 'SteelSeries Stratus XL' is a supreme gamepad with support for both Windows PCs and Android phones & tablets. It is very comfortable and sturdy. Grip against your palm is very confidence inspiring. And I even got it at a great price. Amazon.in listed the lowest price online. BUT, Every "SteelSeries" product comes with its trademark and legendary stickers. And my product was missing that :( It is not Amazon.in or Cloudtail India (seller)'s fault, the stickers were not provided in the main product's packaging itself. Anyways, there's no point whining, cause there's nothing that can be done regarding it. Bottom line, it is an awesome product provided in a really decent price, and it's a must've for all gaming enthusiasts.
