I purchased this for my 2 fussy guinea pigs. when I first opened the bag I pulled out a piece that had a bit of fur in it. I checked the rest of the bag but it seems like it was a one off but still a bit disconcerting. My guinea pigs arent in love with this product. they will take a piece from me and chew on it for a few seconds before finding something else they find more tasty. i will keep going until the bag is through but this isn't a product I will replenish.

Rabbits don't want it at all. Hamster got a little bit. Expensive and unfortunately bad product.

My rabbit tried these when he was a baby and he didn’t like them. He tried them again a few weeks ago since I still had some left and apparently he’s obsessed now! I’m so glad since they’re a great source of fibers.

My rabbits love these! They eat a few a day. It is a staple in our rotation and a great way to get them to eat extra hay. They even chewed on the box when it arrived. The hay cubes are now shipped in a cardboard box, they do not come in a resealable bag. Small Pet Select must have changed their packaging. It is best to get the larger size to get the most value.

I used to buy the Kaytee Timothy hay cubes for my pigs. They ate them constantly and I thought they were fine...then my pig got bladder sludge and I rechecked the ingredients. I think they changed the formula but now Kaytee brand has alfalfa mixed in, not suitable for adult pigs daily consumption! It wasnt obvious from Kaytees packaging. Small Pet Select is very clear on what you're getting, and it's sourced better as well. Small Pet Select is the way to go, it's more expensive but you're paying for quality, and in time a good diet/treats pay for themselves because you don't have to spend thousands on vet bills later! Their company is very animal forward. I recommend checking out LA Guinea Pig rescue on YouTube, Small Pet Select aided in the rescue of over 400 guinea pigs last year! My piggies really like these cubes too, they're an interesting crunchy break from regular hay.

UGH! This Hay Cube is soooo close to perfect. The hay doesn’t have alfalfa which is KEY for guinea pigs at least because they shouldn’t have too much alfalfa. Many hay cubes are marketed as “Timothy hay cubes” but if you check the ingredients it has alfalfa in it!! (I’m looking at you Kaytee!). These are sun dried and only Timothy so it’s guilt free! Personally, my piggies moderately enjoy them. They’ll chew it. Not super excited but they do always go around to chewing them and finish them off. My biggest complaint is that either the packaging is poor or the Hay cubes are too delicate and need to be vacuum sealed or something. This is because I’d say probably half the cubes are broken up by the time I receive the cubes so it’s really a waste of cubes when you’re paying for cubes. I still give it to my piggies to rummage through and peck at but if they could improve the packaging this would be an easy 5 stars. Because the quality of the ingredients, it’s 4 stars for sure though!
