just arrived today 5-14-15. vinyl is in good shape , no scratch on record i like that. Ok review of this record. I love all the songs. Mt has been one of my favorite group in the 80's. I love this kind of style of music so i gave it a 5 star ok. looking to buy more vinyl for a recent good price. want album 1, 3 5 and 6

Great Music!

Out of the 6 Modern Talking albums from the 1980's, this is my favorite! This fall, the album will be 23 years old now. This is the very album that introduced me to Modern Talking and their soft, synthy, innocent and airy mid-80's sound. The lyrics may seem trite to some, but who cares!? It's charming Euro Disco that always sounds appropriate on a breezy day in the fall of 1985.

It was 1985, second album by MT, and Dieter Bohlen's house was still filled with Euro-Disco Romance... Simple yet Romantic lyrics and Romantic Synth melodies that hit very close to the heart (isn't that where it matters the most?). Although it's my opinion that the high-pitched (BeeGees-like) choruses could have been used less. They get annoying after some time, and are a bit overused by Dieter, not just on this album, but on many others that followed. Otherwise this album is perfect, with very touching and beautiful songs; lyrics are sometimes a bit corny (Warning!).....but still it's Great stuff. It's one hit followed by another, starting with the commercially successful single "Cheri Cheri Lady" to the last song on the album "Let's talk about Love". Beautiful stuff here, beautiful. It's a big part of my musical experience.

When I first bought this album, back in 1985, I was a little bit disappointed because especially after hearing Modern Talking's first album which had so many great songs, I have found this one much less enjoyable. Today, I find myself liking it a little bit more but I still think it is with their 6th album In the garden of Venus, the 2 albums that were less filled with great tunes of all the 6 albums they released in the 80's (of the 5 albums they released in the 00's Victory was also a big disappointment to me). But it still has some very good songs. The hit single : Cheri cheri lady for instance, is one of their best singles. The song With a little love is very good too. It's very light and poppy. I think it may have been planed as a second single because they even made an extended version of it (which is very hard to find on cd). Let's talk about love and Don't give up and great too. Wild Wild Water is nice but too long, it should have been a little bit shorter because by the end of the song, you already get fed up with it even though it started out nicely. Songs Just like an angel, Heaven will know & You're the lady of my heart are nice but not on par with all the great tunes you can find on the 1st, the 3rd, the 4th or even their 5th album. But what made this album sink, for me is the fact that it features the tracks Love don't live here anymore & Why did you do it just tonight : 2 of the worst Modern Talking songs ever and the worst thing is that they follow one another : a big big mistake. I can't help but cringe every time I hear them. This album is good to have if you really are a Modern Talking hardcore fan, to complete your collection (like I just did). If not, you can forget it because the greatest songs in here can easily be found elsewhere, with all the countless Modern Talking compilations out there...

"Let's Talk About Love"(1985) is their second album - not their best, but well-known. It contains a few good songs - 04 You're The Lady Of My Heart (easy pop) 08 Why Did You Do It Just Tonight? 10 Let us Talk About Love (tender midtempo)
