Superior to the pressurized bottles, well made
I have tried a few of the pressurized oil spray bottles, looking to replace the cans of spray cooking oil I have to buy every month or two. Spray oil is an essential tool in my kitchen: it cuts down on the amount of fat in my cooking (by not pouring in oil or melting butter) and helps cook everything evenly. But the amount of waste generated in the form of a semi-recyclable can, combined with the pressurizing agent, leads me to look for a reusable alternative. The pressurized bottles (such as the Misto and its imitators) all function more or less the same way: you fill it with oil and, using a pump of some kind, pressurize it with air to spray it. The problems manifest after a few months. Sometimes the nozzles clog easily. Sometimes the head is poorly made and breaks or doesn't fit well. Many of the bottles don't achieve good enough pressure to really spray the oil evenly. Others never had a good spray pattern to begin with. In every case I went back to buying a disposable can of spray oil, which reliably coated my pans every night for dinner. The Evo Oil Sprayer fixes every one of these problems, and looks good doing it. Instead of pressurizing the bottle to spray beforehand, it has a long-throw trigger that compresses the oil on the spot. This seemingly minor design difference is huge. The bottle is much simpler, with fewer moving parts, fewer gaskets, and fewer stress points that can suffer breakage. The bottle is sturdy stainless steel instead of plastic that's likely to get brittle over time in a kitchen near the stove, which is a huge plus. The nozzle is large and reasonably easy to clean, though you might need to get a skewer or toothpick to really clean it out from time to time. From the first moment I used it, I knew this bottle was going to be superior to the Misto-style bottles. The Evo is also superior to a typical plastic spray bottle that was designed for water or cleaner or what have you. These bottles weren't designed for a thicker liquid like soybean oil, and it shows: the spray pattern is often uneven, and they simply don't get enough pressure behind the oil to distribute it well on the pan or the food. The Evo was built specifically for this purpose in the handle, the head, and the nozzle, and for a few dollars more than a generic plastic bottle that you'd find under your sink, you get a purpose-built device that performs far better. The one trick to the Evo is that it sprays in a fan-line pattern, not in a circle. That is to say, when you spray it, you need to draw it from top to bottom or side to side to get coverage of your pan or your food. It differs in this way from a can of spray oil. It only takes a few tries to figure out how this works, but there is a touch of a learning curve with it. Still, it's worth noting in a review. Overall I am very pleased with the Evo bottle, and it is a welcome addition to my kitchen. I have only had it for a little while, but I anticipate that I can finally stop buying those cans of spray oil at long last. Update June 2021: The Evo bottle is still working very well and I have no complaints. However, I can say that there are a few circumstances where it can't replace the disposable spray oil. In a situation that needs a very fine mist - such as lightly coating popcorn to hold a seasoning - the Evo bottle isn't as useful as disposable spray oil. But for everyday use when cooking, it's great. The durability, ease of clean-up, and powerful spray action are all still in evidence eight months later.

works great except for one thing
I bought this because I wanted stainless steel to spray avocado oil on the barbecue items. The spray pattern is great and effective except for one thing that is a deal breaker from buying another one. The stainless steel stamped in thread do not properly hold on to the spray nozzle consequently, it falls off and splashes oil wherever you don't want it, like Persian rugs. I looked this product up again hoping they had fixed it and would definitely order another one but it looks like not. Maybe the glass one has a better design but I like SS.

LID PROBLEMS! proceed with caution.
like many people here, I had lid issues. The lid never stood in place and would pop off way too easily. It would be fine for a few hand squeezes but always managed to pop off in the wrong moment. Last time it popped up, resulted in the bottle hitting the floor and spilling oil everwhere, at which point, I threw in trash. I can only assume there is a bad batch that amazon keeps circulating when it is returned because I see many review on here from people that are not reporting this issue. It wound up in the trash since it's been quite a long time since purchase and no way to return it to amazon or manufacturer. If you do chance and purchase this item, be sure to throughly test it and return if you experience any issues within the first few days. also you might want to write "lid issues" on the packaging somewhere in case amazon decides to put it back in circulation and sell a faulty product to another customer.

Good oil sprayer, tape the threads to solve issues
The spray itself is uniform, about a 1/4 teaspoon, and really handy for coating parchment paper or a cast iron pan. I encountered the same problem with a loose top that popped off under usage/pressure, but I solved it. Plumber's tape. 5 clockwise turns around the steel threads and the spray head stays on perfectly. It's not amazing that this is necessary, but it's worked perfectly and we've had no further issues.

Best oil sprayer ever!
This is the best oil sprayer ever! I tried several others and then had this brand in the plastic bottle for many years. The bottle cracked at the bottom so I replaced it with this stainless steel model and love it even more! I spray my pans with it, spray veggies to roast in the oven. I use it daily!

Gives You a Fine Mist When You Need That
This just came a few days ago and so far I've only used it a few times. I recently started using an air fryer and most recipes that have a batter coating say to mist the coating with oil to get a crisp coating. This sprayer delivers that mist and my air fryer fried chicken and fish & chips come out very nicely crisp. I purchased a less expensive sprayer on Amazon prior to buying this one and was very disappointed with that one as it sprays a stream rather than the mist I was looking for. This is also great for spraying pizza crusts to get that golden brown crust. So far this sprayer has delivered exactly what I was looking for. We'll see if it lasts, that really is the true test.

Started out good, but here's an UPDATE
UPDATE: I really like that this is Stainless Steel and NOT aluminum or plastic. I like that the light or sun can't get to it and damage the oil. I like that it fits in my cooking oil box along with my other cooking oils by my stove for convenience. I like that it's easy to handle/use. I just got it so not sure how long it will hold up, but for now it is what I was looking for. A little more $pendy than I would have liked to spend but it was tough finding a product with the features I was looking for. This came the closest. UPDATE: I am soooo bummed!! I thought that I finally found "the one!". Unfortunately, now it is leaking from top of bottle between opening & spray spout and down red handle, as well as from the spray spout itself. The spray is not as good as shown in pics, closer to a stream (even though it has 3 settings).

Works beautifully!
I purchased this to replace one of the typical mister versions of this. I don't like buying cooking spray, as over time it leaves a residue on pans and cookware that cannot be washed away. I have had several versions of the Mister sprayers as they work well for awhile but over time wear out and end up just causing a mess. I was unsure if I would like it since I wasn't totally clear on how it would come out of the bottle when sprayed but I must say this is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. The oil comes out more as a spray and less as a mist which I thought might make it come out too thickly but actually works much much better. Rather than having a mist that I feel you loose some to the air and misses the pan. This goes on evenly and cleanly. I haven't had it a long time but so far it works beautifully. It's just as advertised, is much less messy than having to pump the mister types and I am guessing will last longer. A+ purchase!

Great natural spray for olive oil.
A bit expensive, yet we use it every day. A great addition to our kitchen. Filling is super easy and the spray is wide angle.

Proper spray
I spent a long time reviewing oil spray bottles. I chose this due to it being a dark colour and metal. The dark colour helps protect the oil and I try to avoid plastic where this is possible. As per other reviews, the spray function of this is good and works properly. Only slight niggles are that it does seem to get oily quite easily and the 'straw' for the spray does not completely reach the bottom, so it doesn't seem to use up the dregs. The bottle is a good size for fitting in the cupboard, although cannot fit a full bottle of oil in one go. I have not tried cleaning this yet, but do not imagine it would be too difficult. It has been brought on a holiday and seemed to stand up well to bring transported and was fairly durable. Although this was quite a lot of money, I am happy that I made the right selection and would recommend to others. The spray function does really help you use less oil and control this better. I liked using this to spray vegetables with oil for the barbeque. This was far less messy and way quicker than doing this by hand.

Can't properly spray
I do appreciate the non-toxic materials used, but unfortunately the spraying mechanism is horrendous. Plastic bottles 1/10 the price spray evenly. This one spits random blobs of oil. Sadly, that makes this product a waste of money.

Very useful product.
After some user related errors, this has been a great tool to use with my Air Fryer. Zero leaks, good spray pattern and great build quality.
